    Welcome, Professor Pew! I am very glad to see that we now have a new community manager who looks to be even more dedicated to the community. I appreciate how fast you responded to our members and I'm very happy to see that you are interested in keeping this forum alive, updated and in contact with the publisher & developers. :)
    If possible, please refrain from spoiling too much of the plot or environments shown in the game. Many of the fans want to discover it all on their own when playing the game. Look at the Genesis trailer of Metro: Last Light for inspiration. It showed so much, yet so little, that it got everyone excited. I would be overjoyed to see more trailers like this. :D

    Anyway, thank you very much for being here and talking with us. I look forward to more information about the game and its release in the future. Best of luck with all the new work. :)

    I'm glad the whole Ranger HC mess may get sorted out.

    I agree the combat was easier but it wasn't just the difficulty. It's the fact that it made the game a lot more immersive, feel realistic and the new control layout you get with the DLC was a lot better than the original controls.

    Maurice It is your post that made me create a new account here to tell you how thankful I am that you are providing the metro last light forum with the knowledge and answers we have been wanting. Thank you for taking the time to do so and I will be checking back frequently to see if things are updated because Metro 2033 is my favorite game and Metro Last Light is what I am looking forward to most in my gaming life. Thanks again.

    I hope it does, but looking at it subjectively I think Deep Silvers hands are tied. THQ's marketing wasn't the best and the game didn't reach out as good as it could (possibly due to resources).

    The game is coming out for the PS3 for the very first time and the game is still not on their radar. At this stage the game should be hyped around social media avenues (Reddit, Facebook, Forums, Youtube, Twitter, Online Media, Youtubers etc) but as you know since the Genesis trailer we've not had much so there is little to share.

    In my opinion the best example of what I want in a trailer is the 2033 launch trailer.

    You kidding? That trailer spoiled the ending! It literally showed the ending cut scene, and lots of the last level!

    But it was a very well made trailer, and I agree. Just this time, no showing the ending.

    And I am seeing Last Light with a release date of December 31's 2013 on gamestop. I hope this is wrong.

    Can't confirm at this stage as I've yet to see the game.

    Retailers will use a placeholder date until a final release date is announced. Most of them always have December 31 as a placeholder date. This is not indicative of the actual release date.

    So there is no way we're going to get a collectors edition? What if we had a "pre-order" on the collectors edition? You get orders and make the needed items in the collectors edition. People just gt the game right away and get everything else later.

    A quick email to the devs can sort that out. :D

    Also when can we/you start expecting updates and relaying them via your various communication channels? It's just over a month until release and we're still left in the dark? :shocked:

    Not sure, we are processing all the info and setting up things here the coming weeks. I know you all want more info as soon as possible, but keep in mind we didn't have anything to do with this game whatsoever until last Wednesday :).

    Luckily a few of us here at Deep Silver played Metro 2033 which helps considerably, and of course the community feedback on this forum!

    Someone may have already asked and got an answer for this but...

    ...Once you have a bit more infomation can you tell us whether or not the Ranger DLC you get with the special edition/pre order bonus thing will be released later on as a seperate DLC like the Fallout: New Vegas pre-order bonuses were?

    Just wondering because I want the game but I don't pre-order and the Ranger Hardcore mode vastly improved the last games immersiveness, realism, challenge and controls.
