    It will cost around $40,000 I heard if they were to release it as a patch due to certification processes per console platform. It is free on Steam however. ;)

    i was pretty mad when they brought hud into far cry 3 so mabye you could get around a patch by doing free dlc ( although im sure ms+ sony have a way to stop this) then i would be very happy as i hate hud in almost every gane its in

    Here is an idea for the trailer
    0:00 Show the metro map zooming into the stations you will show
    0:10 show the first station and a bit outside
    0:50 show the second
    1:20 show some gameplay but after killing someone show the room plus more showing how the world is destroyed.
    1:50 Say something like in the eternal metro tunnels there is a last light.

    I just had the greatest idea ever! I've thought about it earlier, but didn't think of it again until right now.
    In any possible future trailers, I would absolutely love to see more information about how and especially why the blast happened, as well as who caused it. That answer is still un-answered, I believe, and would be very good to know :)

    I believe Huw Beynon is still involved with Metro LL, he'd be the ideal person to tell you why, although the survivors map kind of gives it away. ;)

    I don't think 4A has the ability to give this information, because Dmitry Glukhovsky would be the one to say, and it's pretty obvious why he hasn't given that information in the novels.

    I believe it was the cause of a Great War. It isn't fully explained but some Metro Dwellers in the games (Not sure about the books.) mention America being Russia's enemies in the war.

    With answers to questions like that, sometimes it's better to not know the exact answer. Some movies and TV series have run with creating an "unknown" in the past, and the answer was almost never satisfying.

    If it was only the nuclear exchange, people could've guessed as much already from the information out there. The Metro: Last Light website does start with an animation of global thermonuclear war, unless it's explosions of rainbows all around the world.

    If it was a mystical Island that travels through time and space that ended up causing the apocalypse in Moscow, or a virtual world where everyone is actually living as human batteries, history suggests that most fans would probably not be too happy with that explanation :).

    The russians activated their doomsday machine, which was supposed to be revealed on the party congress on monday(the premier loved surprises), after a crazy american general decided to attack them.

    The world has already been destroyed, and the remaining survivors divide into sects and clans - and continue to fight. Is it really important how it ended, or rather, does it simply matter how Artyom will come to grips with the reality he now finds himself in?

    Sometimes in storytelling, it is better to leave plot pieces up to the design of the audience.

    Also, sorry for the late greeting, but welcome Professor Pew. :wacko:

    The fact that it is unrevealed is good for fan-produced theories and discussions around it. My theory, for example, is that Germany somehow acquired nuclear power, perhaps via Russia's enemy, USA, as they have a common goal about whiping out Russia, as revenge after Russia turned their back on Germany in the end of the second world war. I actually find it more satisfying to think that Germany, and not the USA, nuked Russia. It can be completely opposite of that, though. That is why it is indeed a good idea to not reveal how/who/why regarding the nuke. ...But I'm still curious about it :sad:
