Great these were the answers we were all looking forward to hearing. It's comforting to hear a publisher talk about how they want to make an AMAZING game not just "a game". I also love that the fact that Deepsilver/Koch media already has had experience with post-apocalyptic games like STALKER Clear Skies and Dead Island(Which I thought was great).

Also loved the choice with multiplayer. I really think this would be the first time a game comes out with multiplayer AFTER the game is released. I think all games that have mostly a single player feel to it should have that. That way you get multiplayer that kicks ass and a single player that kicks ass.

To be fair, we didn't have any creative influence over STALKER Clear Sky (I think) and that game was from 2008 which means not everyone who worked on that is still working here. Ehm I mean, YES we did STALKER and that is the reason why Metro: Last Light will be great! :D

Joking aside, each game should stand on its own qualities and we prefer to look at what makes that game unique rather than copy-paste strategies based on genres.

Also, not saying there is or will be multiplayer (just in case anyone read it like that). Just that at one point there was, then it was dropped, and whatever happens in the future won't detract from the singleplayer experience either way.

I an made account, since I was so surprised of professionalism and devotion of Deep Silver Community Manager. This is really outstanding, this level of involvement.

Since I was a manager in a huge company in my country I might add some ideas which I think would be good to promote the game, and I can't find any reason why this wasn't done before??

1 - This game is the best technological and graphical achievement ever made.
Marketing Campaign should be based on this also, I can say that even before two years with prequel this game was "a look into the future"...for me it is a next gen engine already, with best textures I ever saw and not to mention Physx, FOV, MSAA, Tesselation...

2 - Story is based on awarded novels from famous writer - this is something that most games won't ever get close to.

3 - Details that are brought into games are sometimes even better than in real life...

4 - If Crysis is calling it self next gen game, and the most advanced game ever, why Metro Series don't deserve the same or better? IMHO the Crysis 2 was nowhere near the Metro 2033 game, I think Metro LL will again win the fight, but nobody will know it if You as a new publisher don't tell that to people...

So do something decent as it deserve:

"New Metro LL is the best technological achievement ever made, it is "a look into the future", next gen today, with the story from awarded writer, with details better than in real life..."

I mean just look what hype is Crysis 3 creating with director Albert Hughes and with promoting itself with "7 wonders of Crysis". I think it would be a good idea to promote the game with the facts I mentioned, since Metro series is better in all aspect, we just need to tell that to everyone...and they even said they are MAXING current consoles too...don't get me wrong, I'm sure Metro is the best it can be on consoles, but on the PC it can give more. I love PC, but I also love and have console...so this is not about PC/console war.

On personal note, if I would have to find one thing that is missing in Metro LL, it's the lack of complete animations (for example, while taking bullets, while turning the lights on/off and similar). It would be perfect then. Also, I'm sure a lot of fans agree that they don't want to see Metro goes COD way, with rushed reloading, without need to change a gas mask filters and things like that. Keep it real and cool as it always was. Sorry for a long post.

You humble me, Sir. I just do what I can and what I feel I should, really! But thanks :)

Good ideas, and things we have also noticed! Metro: Last Light is very much a Metro game, so none of that COD-ification.

Please mister, make sure everything is doen right before the game is released. As you already said somewhere, i think.

Also, just erase this "limited edition" idiocy, it's just preposterous.

Hey Pew, after stuff is properly in place would you be able to check if there's an in-game FOV slider?

I may be wrong, but I believe that if they do a port for Mac, it wouldn't be much more work to port it to Linux. Both require OpenGL, and it's really just a matter of switching a few libraries and system files. They may already be using OpenGL, or something similar, for the PS3 version, so it might not be all that much work. This is why I mentioned it. Also there are a TON of Linux users who would like to play games natively on their system. And a good way to look at it is that there is very little competition among other games, so there would be a lot of sales. Also, Steam for Linux is causing the OS to get even more gamer users.

Good point. And I didn't know that they released a Linux version of steam. I was wondering when they would do that. But Linux is really an OS for working so there might not really be that many people with the hardware to run it.

Another reason to support Linux is that the Steam Box (Steam's game console) will be running Linux.

That's bad news that the Steam page was updated. They added the pre-order bonus information, which still includes the original crap. Which means that they probably won't be changing it...

That's not very shocking. Unfortunately, they can't do much to change what THQ did, at this point.

It has sort of been stated that Deep Silver does not have enough time pretty much to create a new pre-order.
