    I tried to figure out things for myself in the beginning but found it very useful to check out different books and tutorial videos. It helped me to step up my game.

    Nah, the first time I played minecraft I was introduced to it by my friends on skype. I played for like 30 minutes around with the game mechanics and see what you can do and what not and then I looked up the wiki to see what you can actually do in it. It kind of bothered me that you had no clear indication as to what you had to do to construct things but I guess it relied a lot on imagination.

    I'm pretty sure that when I first started playing Minecraft, everything was extremely complicated and difficult to me. So I ended up wathing SeaNanner's Minecraft Let's Play series, and basically just copied everything he did. So yeah, I didn't really teach myself too much of the beginning stuff, but later on, everything was mostly self-taught.

    My brother helped me with it and then I kinda figured out the rest of the game myself. I only use the wiki for new updates since I don't play anymore. I also use the wiki for crafting recipes that I can't remember.

    I used the wiki, and knowledge that I had from watching other people play prior to buying the game.
