Do you ever get tired with the open-endedness of the game?

Nope I don't. BUT, that depends on what sort of open-mindedness this is. I do NOT and will never tolerate vulgarity and perverted talks.

Linear games are fine and they have their purpose, I mostly play them for sort of an instant gratification type thing. But I am most dedicated to my open ended games that can go on and on forever. The choice to control what happens and when is part of the appeal. Do I need a break from time to time, sure. But I always end up coming right back to explore the next chapter in my characters life!

That's actually the best way to go. By having a few breaks sometimes, really helps you get the motivation back for the game.
