Do you feel like runes should be cheaper?

I definitely agree. Runes affect the game in a big way and everyone is expected to have them. A good rune page costs more than the most expensive champions and to build one requires a lot of grinding. At its current state, the system discourages trying out new roles, because you need different runes for, pretty much, every role. I think it would be cool if Riot made them accessible to everyone at all times.

 

I саn соnfirm this. I асtuаlly stаrtеd аnоthеr ассоunt а whilе аgо, I'm lvl 20 оn it, аnd I оnly hаvе 5 сhаmpiоns оn it, nо mоrе IP. Sо frоm 150+ gаmеs, 20 lеvеls, I spеnd аll thе IP I gеt оn 5 сhаmpiоns, аnd thаt's аll. (2 оf thеm 450 аnd 3 оf thеm аrе 6300). I hаvе sоmе сhеаp tiеr 2 runеs but thаt's аll, tiеr 3 runеs аrе sоmеthing I'm nоt еvеn drеаming оf right nоw.

 

I've been playing since season 3, and I STILL only have 3 rune pages. They cost to much to unlock, and I would usually buy a champion. (since I only have about half of them as it is.

I feel that runes should be cheaper and RUNE PAGES SHOULD BE FREE! Or at least you should get more than 2 for free. Its ridiculous, since they are basically like mastery pages.

 

They just aren't economical right now, so I'm definitely on the side of it becoming cheaper. That said, they probably shouldn't be all that much cheaper if they do decide to decrease the price. A small decrease in the price would benefit the game.

 

Yessssss! Definitely cheaper! The runes may not seem a lot when compared to champions, but add up all 9 of the same type and you get to spend at least 2k IP on a single type of rune. Also, get some of the better Quintessences and there goes your IP, instead of spending it on champions.

 

Its an elaborate trap from Rito to make you buy champions with RP. They don't want to lose money from all the people who don't have time to grind for a rune page

 

Indeed, but at least make them cheaper, not free. The price of 420 RP for one rune is really big. 420x9 runes = 3780 IP for a set of 9 marks, let's say. You get to spend around 13k IP for a full rune page, and that's 2 champions worth.

 

I don't think runes should be free. I think rune PAGES should be free. Instead of a ridiculous 6300 a piece.

Since runes are so important to builds/strategies, it would be worth to let people have pages like they do with masteries

 

I personally think that yes, their price should be lowered a little bit so we do not need to save up that much money to buy runes, however the purchase lvl should be lowered a little bit aswell, that is my opinion though.

 

While they could be cheaper, the buffs that they give aren't all that insurmountable. I think it's a good way to incentivise players to devote more time into the game.

 

If I recall, (common/standard) runes were going to be or have been reduced in price by half, which in my opinion is pretty fair. You get all the most frequent runes for a pretty cheap price, and if you decide to invest in more specific runes, you have to pay a bit of a higher price. Sounds pretty good to me.

 

No, it's a lot better this way, so new players will think a lot more if they will invest time in this game which is already overpopulated with stupid kids who destroys your game and swears you.
