Do you get lost easily while exploring?

I can easily get lost if I didn't set down torches. Or that I have set down too many in all directions that I end up going the wrong way and sometimes just go way too deep into the cave and have no hope of getting out.

If I get lost, I would like die in some stupid way like lava or off a cliff once I find a revene. Like there is no end to the crap I do.

 

When underground I definitely get lost from time to time. I usually try to keep lighting torches to make sure I can retrace my steps and find my way back.

 

I get lost all the time. It is really hard to find back and takes too much time so I prefer committing suicide in the game in order to save time.

 

I don't get lost too much but I'm a good navigator in real life too, looking for landmarks is a great way to get your bearings. So for example an oddly tall mountain, it's easily visible and gives a good indication of where you ought to go. If I do that then I very rarely lose my house.

 

Depends. If a world is generated with telltale landmarks like certain types of mountains and stuff it's not as bad. However I generally create landmarks so that I know where I'm at. Underground it's different haha.

 

I keep a system that includes torches as marks so I know how to get back to my base always !

 

All the time. Especially with friends. So, we end up using torches as beacons and the sun/moon as reference points.

 

I actually never get lost while exploring my new world in Minecraft. Ever since I started using F3 to bring up my player's coordinates, I am able to to keep track of the exact positions of key spots such as my house or mining area.

 

I'm really awful at determining where to settle in a new world. Not only that, but my directions really suck. It's hard for me to realize where I am and I always get lost from my home and usually have to restart my settlement.

 

I have fairly good navigational skills but I do get lost every now and then when exploring too far like out in the ocean or in a desert biome.

 

I was particularly good at getting myself lost, but after so much time playing with this game it's actually hard for me to not find the right path I'm looking for.

 

More than I'd like to admit. Gotta drop those torches Hansel and Grettle style and make big, illuminated towers

I get lost all the time! Sometimes I get really frustrated because I was really trying to accomplish something. Other times I just try to go with it. I have found some pretty neat things when I was lost!

 

When I am wondering it is hard for me to get lost because I like to keep track of where everything is and because of that I will easily remember areas I was in and am able to navigate back. If it is my first time in a world then I will probably get lost as I have not yet found a home and because of that I won't have places memorized. In general though I do not get lost but I can see how most people do because memorization is harder for others or they simply do not try to locate themselves and intentionally get lost.

 

Most of the time I get lost, but I bring a map to save myself.

 

Really easily. I might head out with a goal but soon tend to wonder around in the open looking for anything I can find. Then I end up getting lost and frustrated that I need to head back soon otherwise I might die. This is really the reason I do not play singleplayer as much as multiplayer.
