Do you listen to music while you're playing Minecraft?

More often than not i don't listen to music while playing minecraft or basically when I'm in front of the computer. My reason for that is because i still want to be aware of what's going on outside my room. Even if i only hear faint and subtle voices from my family, as long as i know they're okay and our house is not burning or anything that settles down my nerves. Also i hate it so much when i get caught off guard with someone coming into my room so that's why no headsets or music for me. I only get to enjoy my music when I'm in school (during short breaks, lunch) or during a car ride or before going to bed. I'm weird like that.

 

Very rarely, I depending on my current mood or the duration I'm playing I'll put on a radio show/podcast and listen to that. However occasionally I'll listen to C418's simple music within the game and feel pretty zen like.

 

I enjoy listening to John Hopkins mixed with some of the game's OST. I typically only build in Minecraft so I like listening to chill, acoustic-y, vocal less music.

 

I usually compile a playlist with win-amp and just pick something that fits my mood, makes playing a lot more pleasant!

 

I do this as well! I listen to the Ricky Gervais XFM Radio Series. Its hilarious!

 

Yes, I like to listen to upbeat music while I'm building, this makes me build stuff more faster and motivates me to do more stuff, quite a good idea in my eyes actually.

 

Not at all. I even turn off the Minecraft music! The music is really peaceful, but I prefer to play without the music so that I can focus more on the game.

 

Since the Minecraft music doesn't play all of the time in-game, I like to go on YouTube and actually play the 30 minute volume alpha playlist. I don't like the new music too much, and the old music never fails to give me tons of memories and just make me feel good. You don't even need to play the game in your life to enjoy and relax to that incredible music.

 

I always listen to music when I'm playing any sort of game, or really doing just about anything - Music pumps me up, and makes things less boring; I find most things boring without the aid of something to take away the silence.

Although I do like to sit down and enjoy quietness every once in a while.

 

I don't, because I'm so fucking scared, when I explore dungeons. Everytime I listened to music while playing survival I died and lost lots of diamonds, because I didn't hear that creeper or zombie coming from behind me and kicking me into the lava. So from now on I'll only ever listen to music when I play creative mode.

 

To be honest, I can't seem to focus on the game when I'm listening to music , it makes me wonder around and forget what I was gonna do. I rather hear the Minecraft Soundtrack though,it just soothes in better than the music I play during the game. I like to concentrate and be in my zone when I play.

 

I only listen to the in-game soundtrack because it fits the game so well. Lets say I'm fishing, and some very peaceful music starts playing. It just makes my day. If I play for a really long time, and I get sick of the music, I'll just mute it and listen to the in-game sounds.

 

I usually just listen to the minecraft soundtrack, but if I play for long periods of time, then I'll turn some other music on so that I can have more variety.

 

If i am going to be on for awhile I pop in a mix cd of soundtrack. Resident Evil, Inception, Shutter Island it is all mood music to me.

 

I usually listen to music cause sometimes I can't hear the Minecraft background music cause its kinda quiet even on the highest volume in-game for me. I listen to calming instrumentals on Youtube and a few covers.

 

I usually never listen to music when I build, just because the Minecraft soundtrack is so damn good. I really feel relaxed and focused when I listen to the soundtrack. It allows me to really get immersed into the world itself.

 

I don't listen to music when I play Minecraft. The sound track is part of the experience and makes the game great. I wouldn't want to mute that beauty.

 

I like to listen to chillstep and a lot of other stuff on EpicNetworkMusic, Mrsuicdesheep, and monstercat.

I like metal, but metal doesn't work well with Minecraft as you might expect lol.

 

I never listen to music when I'm playing minecraft except for the BGM on the game. And also I can't hear if there are mobs behind me like creeper or a zombie. So I prefer not to listen music while I'm playing.

 

I listen to music. Whatever I'm feeling at the time. I just don't really like the game's music that much, plus it gets old after a while really.
