Do you listen to music while you're playing Minecraft?

When I used to play Minecraft, yes, I listened to music all the time. The soundtrack of Minecraft may be peaceful, but quite boring after a while. I just fired up Spotify and listened to some 80s Rock. Was very enjoying my time back then.
When I played with friends on TeamSpeak, I would always just turn the music off so I can concentrate on the game and have a talk with my mates.

 

I always listed to different music while playing depending on my mood. Honestly after a while the music becomes background noise and I don't really notice it.

 

I usually keep Spotify with the radio feature turned on and playing something based on some favourite bands, it's good enough for me.

 

I don't have any music to listen to, but I like to listen to a podcast while strip-mining. It's very relaxing.
I do this in other games as well.

 

Some soft electronic is pretty nice and engaging.

If im playing alone absolutely, its a must. It gets so lonely and quiet while mining the earth alone! It needs tunes!

 

I always have music playing. I switch up between hip hop and rock. It depends on my mood more than the game.

Well of course, the music is good but after a while I would prob go insane. I listen to music with all of my games.

 

I love the soft soothing music that comes along with Minecraft, however, if I'm already tired it's going to put me to sleep. Some music is too relaxing, this being minecraft music. I prefer to listen to my own music while playing Minecraft. Nothing is more motivating then jamming out to some Judas Priest while chopping down trees. I personally like to give myself options and ways to motivate myself during the game since building times tend to be really slow, especially time between loot collection. Although, once everything is collected and built. I relax by turning of my music and calming down to some nice, relaxing, mine craft tunes.

 

Nah, I don't. I'm generally into more intense games (FPS, fantasy RPG, etc.) and when I play Minecraft it's for the purpose of relaxing. I find their music to fit that mood completely. I can see why someone would listen to music while playing though, as it is a game that doesn't always require your utmost attention like Call of Duty and the like.

 

I usually listen to music while I play minecraft, while the minecraft soundtrack is good, I prefer listening to my range of music. I'll really just pull out whatever playlist I've been listening to recently to make me enjoy my minecraft experience even more than I already do.

 

I listen to podcasts, the co-optional podcast is what I usually listen to when playing minecraft. I can unwind and listen to the gaming news while doing repetitive tasks like strip mining. Sometimes I'll also put on a youtube series on my phone. But I really never listen to actual music.

 

I often leave the default minecraft music playing unless I'm building. I then try to turn on more upbeat and fast paced music so I can try and get into my zone and produce a nice building. I think if you'd doing a really long build, you'd quickly get bored of the regular music regardless of how nice it is.

 

I rarely listen to Minecraft BGM because the ones I like do not play as often as I like and it's quite random. So I turn off Minecraft's BGM and put on some other music that blends in with the ambiance. Usually light music from other games like Zelda Ocarina of Time or sometimes from fantasy medieval movies and games like World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls and so on.

 

Minecraft is actually one of the only games where I put on my own music instead of listening to the BGM. Its one of those games where the music gets really repetitive and kind of annoying even after a while. There are some good tracks in it that I'd gladly listen to over and over again but they don't play often enough for me to keep the game unmuted.

However, I find vocals in music really distracting, so usually I listen to something in a language I don't understand (that way I am not paying attention to the words, lmao) or instrumental. I have a playlist of good instrumental songs on my iPhone that I put on when I'm playing.

If I'm playing it without really doing anything serious though, just kinda want something to do while I'm getting other stuff done, then occasionally I'll put on lyrical music too, or even a YouTube video of Markiplier or Jacksepticeye in the background. I find having someone else's voice on while I do things kind of soothing.
