Do you play it with friends on Skype?

Consider this is a team game, so I'd rather play with some friends on skype, obviously. Strangers might be toxic and non-english speakers, so they would be uncommunicative. I preffer being able to communicate with my team, instead of 2 speaking Polish, 1 Spanish and the others Italian. This game is all about communication, so before playing, ensure you are able to communicate with your team, either by chat or by skype.

If that option would be allowed, believe me you would hear so much swearing from stupid children who are 12 years old, that you would simply quit gaming.

I know about that part but there should be a mute button in order to avoid that kind of issues with the 12 years old kids, I guess so.

I love playing with friends but I mostly play solo, I need to practice and playing with friends doesn't work for me since I play casually then.

None of my friends actually play League, they all play Dota 2 (which I do too), and I honestly don't really like playing with them on Dota as well. I like playing with strangers, that way, if they act stupid, I can just ignore them and just keep playing. If my friends do it, they would be the type to yell and all that, so I get annoyed with them if I play. It's really annoying sometimes, but the good players have always been the ones who yell a lot at the screen, and I think it's already part of the game.

Same for me. The way I see it, unless my friends are ready to team up with me most of the time that I will play, then there's not much reason for me to depend on them too much because it would only make me too reliant on having a premade team and I don't think I could take it that seriously.

It's always awkward when you get into a fight with your friends. It's much simpler to deal with when it's a stranger. It is just part of playing on a team.

Those are always an adventure. It's tough when you play with somebody where you can't communicate effectively. It can also rewarding to play well with someone that doesn't speak the same language.

We tried playing with Skype open but some of us had bad internet connection so now we just gather at one of our houses and play physicaly next to each other.

I prefer to play with friends but not on Skype, unless it's ranked. People just don't take it seriously, and you get to hear weird conversations and noises in the background. Children screaming. Wives or mothers arguing with their male counterparts. Dogs yowling. Loud bags of chips. Holy crap, I cannot take it. Basically, if it's not an important noise, I don't want to hear it. I'd rather listen to music and concentrate in normal games.

I unfortunately do not play with my friends on skype but instead play with them on an app called "Discord". You can imagine it as Teamspeak and Skype having a baby. It offers almost everything that I need plus it's free! I just can't stand skype because of all the issue's I get with it.

Whenever I'm playing with friends we try not to use Skype as it's peer2peer connection tends to mess up with our latency at times, so we rather use other voip solutions.

I do a mix of these things, when I'm solo queing, I definitely just listen to my own LoL playlist (a variety of songs I enjoy listening to again and again) but when playing with friends I know in real life, yeah i usually skype.

Though tbh we did try Ventrilo for a bit before, but now we've switched over to Curse voice client, and it's actually working surprisingly well. Anyone who uses skype should give it a shot.

Skype is just a terrible communication choice for games. I can't believe people are using it for this.

It seems weird anyone would use Skype for gaming when it wasn't made for that purpose. It's effect on latency times by itself would prevent me from using it. Other apps made for gaming are much better options.

You can't go wrong with just being physically next to each other. Much easier to communicate that way. You also get a much better of where everybody is on the map and what they are doing.

Skype is a drain on system resources. Skype slows everything down even when you aren't running a game. It is meant to be the only thing in use when it is open. Use the right tool for the job folks, Skype isn't the right tool. Are you going to use a hair brush to brush your teeth? Because that is about the same as using Skype for game communications.

I really like to play with a group of friends but my computer is pretty old so having skype on with lol really takes a toll on my computer. It makes the experience a lot better when you talk with someone else you know during the game and it's really fun

I almost always play with 2 or 3 other friends, but I use Curse Voice instead of Skype since Skype tends to give me problems. I find music in the background to be distracting when I play, but I find the game to be too quiet if I'm not talking to people, which is why I enjoy using voice chat to talk with friends. Also, since League is a team game, I think using some form of voice chat gives an advantage if you're already playing with your friends. This is also emphasized if one of the people in the call are the jungler, mid laner, or top laner if they can use teleport well.

I like to play it both ways. If I'm going for a serious run, focused and all that, I'll play alone. If I go for a fun run with my mates, I'll go to Skype, so we can organize strategies and fun tactics.
