Do you prefer exploring or building?

I always have two games made for this. I have one where I am in survival mode and I am actually trying to play the game without the use of any form of cheats. And then I have my creative map where I just use it to build certain things that I can save and eventually show off to someone that cares.

I just started playing, but I found that I need to explore before actually building. I love to explore anyway, so exploring is a better option before I build. In any event I like doing both of them, because to me they go hand in hand at times. Building would be more on the creative side which I love to do since my mind would just wonder and I would add more detail to everything, but exploring is something that I love doing because it is finding things that keep me going as well. I guess I would have to actually just go with both. :)

I like both, but if I had to choose I would say building. You get to explore your creative mind.

Building. The freedom to build anything is the main reason why I got into Minecraft. If the game didn't have building, I wouldn't have paid attention to it at all.

I like to do both of these things, but I think that building wins in the end, since I love to do everything that involves creativity and creating in general. Even though I'm not too good at it yet, I try by getting inspiration from the internet and searching for tutorials. :p

I like both. It's fun to explore and build a fort or anything. But I like to build more than to explore. But I explore first to find a place to build a house. And when I find a perfect place I build a big house.

Both. I like to explore new places and when I dig the place that I just explored I would then build my base on that place. But exploring is pretty much more fun than building. Building stuff can be boring at times.

Exploration is my thing. I'm kind of bored of building. I always prefer going on an adventure then building a hut or something and then just go and explore some more stuff like that. It's more fun going about in the world of Minecraft.

I love exploring because some views are just amazing like the extreme hill biomes next to a desert also finding a rare desert temple! I like to find villages and go to the blacksmith chest :D. I like finding villages within the desert as they have a nice twist to them!

Exploring can be fun, but I dislike getting lost easily in the never-ending world. I feel that building has endless possibilities to do. There are so many different terrains to build in and the imagination is the limit of what you can build. Exploring is fun and all, but just prefer building. There are certain biomes as exceptions where I do enjoy exploring though, and I respect that the game contains both aspects.

I usually prefer building. Not that I'm any good at it, but I don't really understand exploring, if I wanted to see a nice landscape I'd probably be playing a different game (or I might even go outside )

I prefer to explore until I find a suitable spot to build my designs. I once built a beach resort sort of thing, with a house on the water, a huge tower with torches to find my way back, and a house on the mountain nearing the beach. And a mine under the mountain. I had those designs in mind so I searched for a place like that until I found what I liked and stopped there and built my stuff.

I like exploring. For me building just takes too much time to get anything noteworthy accomplished. I don't start building until I am absolutely loaded with supplies. I spend the first week in a world just figuring out where everything is and collecting what I need to make the game enjoyable. That being said when I build I build hard. When I get to the house I like making a three story stone building with glass floors. I usually have lava and water running from the top to bottom on either side of the house. I even built an indoor water fountain once. The physics were tricky but I finally got it. Endermen destroyed that house. I was not amused.

I definitely prefer building. It's just a lot less dull than exploring is to me. I love experimenting with different blocks and looks and it's a really fun experience.

I don't have a favorite between them. They are both pretty fun to do!
When I'm exploring I find new things, new biomes, new loot and things like that. When I'm building I'm just relaxing, experimenting with different block combinations and so on. They are both neat!

I usually do both because I like to first set off when I start a world and explore for a good place for a design that I happen to have in mind. I usually think what I want to build as a general idea ahead of time but anything can change depending on what I find during my exploration, I can envision building something else entirely depending on the respective place and terrain I happen to come across.
