    You can block someone's messages to mute them. If you are strong mind enough, do give a damn about what others say lol. It is just a game. Some people will hide behind their screens to bad mouth others. It always happens in online gaming or just online for that matter. Enjoy the game without being bothered by a few immature is also a part of the gaming skills. :)

    I do ignore it to a degree in games I like, bit in games where the whole community has gone toxic and even the forums are full of bile forget it.

    I second that. A lot of MMORPG with PVP will have people yell at each other on forums too. You can always ignore the existence of the forum completely. If you can't and keep visiting the forum, then it must mean you actually enjoyed it lol. I have first hand experience that the forum is used as a part of the in-game politics for a PvP based MMORPG.

    There are always more casual players who won't ever visit the forum. Or even join the PvP aspect of the game in a PvP game.
