Do you prefer single-player or multi-player?

I like to do a lot of exploring on my own. Sometimes other people slow me down or they are so antsy about the game that they rush through it. I want to enjoy the game I spent my hard earned money on, not rush through it, get to the end and be bored. That ruins the game-play for me.

In any game that has both modes, I always prefer single player and Minecraft is no exception. I find it hard to communicate with other players and I could almost never get the etiquette of multiplayer. I just want to be left to my own devices. Of course, I enjoy the opportunities unlocked by playing multiplayer too.

I prefer multiplayer for sure now. I used to only play single player but that can get pretty boring after awhile. I love getting on a server and playing snowball fight, hunger games, and prop hunt with other people.

At some point, I feel that single player gets very old. Yes, installing mods that add content can stave this off, but eventually playing by yourself will become extremely boring. Playing with friends, for me at least, never gets old, as at some level this is hanging out with your friends, albeit over the internet in a game. I prefer multiplayer, with friends.

Multiplayer, I love playing with others and destroying and ransacking they're stuff (evil laugh) But most of the time I just play offline single-player if I just want to kill some time.

I prefer multi-player since I like surviving with my friends and it is nice to all live in one big camp with all the needed tools and what not.

You're way too social, unlike me. I don't like going on servers. Nah, I'm just kidding. But I don't like talking to people and playing with them. It's personal opinion, I guess.

Lol I understand. Sometimes I prefer playing solo too when I just want to sit back and relax on my own and play the game without the constant threat of someone trying to kill or steal from you.

I loved single player but I think I've done just about everything that I can.
I love playing multiplayer now, the added randomness really brings a fresh breath of air into the game.

I prefer playing multiplayer since it has a lot more to offer and I enjoy playing the little mini games that some servers offer. I do play single player but I find it gets boring easily, it just feels empty.

I think both are really great. In singleplayer you can install a lot of mods and just discover how it all works, while in multiplayer you can play with stranger and meet new people. If I had to choose I would pick multiplayer, just because you can play with other people and all the gamemode like prison, survival games, faction etc.

i prefer single player a lot more sometimes simply because that's just my time to chill and be with myself. I like multi player sometimes, however just only when i want to built something with my friends and I'm really in the mood for it.

I prefer multiplayer. I feel that the game was meant to be played this way. Singleplayer is alright but multiplayer is where it's at. I love the idea of being able to share the same world with my friends and we get to see and share each other's work. I'm a sucker for coop...

I like getting onto other player's servers and exploring their worlds, and playing games like The Hunger Games. But for the most part I play single player, exploring and messing about by myself. Oh, don't feel bad for me, though. I've got lots of villager friends ;).

I find single-player too boring to hold my interest for long compared to multiplayer, though sometimes I feel like just messing around without anyone else bothering me (or me bothering them).

I have come to prefer multiplayer when playing Minecraft. As of late, I have only been playing on modded servers. The element of helping each other out and trading resources with other players is what sells me on it. Sometimes it is a huge help when you can trade for what you need instead of spending the time mining for it when you're in the middle of a project. I also am interested in seeing what my cohorts on a server are building, it both shows me interesting ways of getting things done and lets me pick up building techniques to make my own bases more attractive.

Single-player is fun in its own right, but I really feel that multiplayer adds so much more to Minecraft. Things like trading, messing with people and seeing what they do, just adds so much more to the game.

Well I usually use single player for testing out stuff, so that I don't waste my time forever trying to do it in Multiplayer. I play mostly Multiplayer though, as I kind of like that sense of human contact that is lost during the who single player mod. Always nice to play with your friends and know that someone is watching your back in case a creeper decides to sneak up on you.

Multiplayer all the way. Specifically the Reddit servers. They provide free servers of all types that are consistently online. To me playing online is so much more rewarding. The ability for others to see what I have created gives me much more satisfaction than just playing alone in my own single player world.
