Do you spend real money?

At first, I was really against spending money to unlock items in-game but then I started playing with my wife. She eventually wore me down because she liked the pretty skins and I figured : "Why not?". I just really enjoy some of the skins and even believe that some of them (Marauder Ashe) are more aesthetically pleasing. I like the different spins they put on some of the different champs. I absolutely love my Dunkmaster Darius skin. You players that don't spend actual money on the game, what is your reasoning on this, if you don't mind me asking? I don't mind spending the money on it now because Riot does a decent job maintaining servers and they've provided a game that's kept me enthralled for over 5 years now.

 

I think spending real money on a virtual game (after purchasing it) is utterly ridiculous. You spend hard earned money on a game just so your character could have a different costume that wouldn't even alter the game in any way? You want better looking weapons? That's just ridiculous! Any person spending money on these would have to seriously take a look at themselves and think about the decisions that they are making.

 

I don't think it's that ridiculous. I don't buy these myself but I can see why people do. It's not that much different from buying an app or paying for movie streaming online. Technically you aren't really buying anything tangible but without anyone paying for it the rest of us won't be able to get it for free so I am glad that there are people out there who see value in it enough to contribute a few dollars here and there.

 

I'm not a big spender but certainly have dropped some money into the game. It's just like spending some money on drinks, I don't really need them, but if I have some spare money for some temporary pleasure, drinks or skins it is all the same.

 

Well I don't spend money on any game that I have played before even in League. though the skins would make the champ look better, a bad player would still be bad even if he has all the skins available. I do have some skins which I got for free and I would never ever spend real money unless it would add something good to the performance of your champs.
