    I think the game was a bit more better few updates ago. Some of the new updates are pretty weird.

    I don't know if it's heading in the right direction, but I don't think it's heading in the wrong direction. I wish they'd put more work into reducing lag though, then maybe they could increase the build height limit to 512..

    I agree, Minecraft should really help make modders life much easier, mainly because they create wonderful content and don't get much regocnition.
    I heard Mojang are working on official mod support, hopefully that would make modders life much easier

    I wish Notch was still doing minecraft. The ULA and everything now is too hard to comprehend and making a 1.8 server is hard now.

    I think the game is doing really well. Especially since that Microsoft bought the game, it means that Notch's Mojang team did a really great job!

    Well, since you posted the question the game has been doing great. A lot of new things added and the game runs better than ever right now.
    Eager to see what Microsoft is going to implement! :D

    It's really hard for it to be heading in a wrong direction as a whole, but I agree that the game needs to be more optimized rather than adding a bunch of glitchy features to the game just to have updates.
