    The Polis Ranger Campaign sounds like you leave Polis and then travel to the Library. Collect a few books and head back to Polis if your filters and ammo are running low.

    How do you save during the Library mission? I had over half of the items on the list and when I died, it reset everything.

    You go to the exit, which is behind your when you start out, and it makes you an autosave.

    Does anyone know if the developer pack would feature any actual development tools? Like a console or something? I don't know, I 've always wanted to see something like that in Metro.

    It's still not clear what it will and will not have.

    There's apparently some kind of massive level with plenty to do though, because one of the leaked chievos was for spending several hours on it.

    Anyway, if it does happen to include some neat things for changing the game as well, my only wish is that they don't gimp the console version too much.

    speaking of the faction pack...
    I have never been so frustrated (and now pissed) of this game so far... why?
    Let's see..

    a) tank sometimes refuses to die (Ie, no no damage?) sniper rifle? no damage, chaingun? tiny damage.. had to reload the map twice until the thing finally started to register damage (and using grenades)
    b) in the ranger pack, the freaking dude stops running randomly and has got me killed so many times IN THE FIRST PART OF THE GAME :|

    (other issues not as infuriating, character refuses to move after healing in the reich map, shield guys are invulnerable to all guns except chainguns, reloaded and switched to only grenades..then it worked correctly to all guns, not getting any damage but the char wobbles like he just got hit...way worse if you're using the sniper rifle)

    anyone knows if there are gonna be patches for the issues with the pack?

    as for the developer pack, I really hooooope they have a friendly to use map maker.. :>

    Reich mission is annoying for sure and definitely the most difficult mission available, but it has its way to do things. Use the chaingun to start off, switch to the railgun and shoot the snipers, and use it to shoot the shield guys around their mail-slots, and use the grenade launcher to kill the tank. Never really explained, and kinda not really well polished IMO, but it has a way to do things.

    You are a saint for posting this! It was really nice seeing the 4A studio, I love these guys. Also you are right I do see the firing range in there, I cannot wait to see what all will be in the dev pack.

    Try Black Station stealth with no stealth suit. Seriously though I know the Reich mission is really hard, but it is very doable once you find the best way to deal with each situation, though I don't think i've ran into the glitches you mentioned.

    had no trouble with anything on the map except the tank.. which like I said, seemed to get no damage from random guns.
    same with the shields units (sometimes even point blank chaingun didnt affected them.. but grenades did, another reload and the inverse happened)

    anyway I passed that map already.
    I'm struggling with other little issues with the library chapter.



    my frustration was not the difficulty... Its the bugs.



    anyway after watching that video posted ealier, its kinda sad to see a studio as good as 4games, being that cramped in a tiny place with barely office hairs.

    I personally am looking forward to the developer pack the most. Can't wait to see some of what they're gonna let us do in it. Even the few details they gave us like the shooting gallery and AI arena sound really cool. Speaking of which does anyone know some details as to when the next dlc is being released?
