I totally agree with you, that every piece of complex and complicated software, will have issues at launch, and cannot be perfect from the get go. Just look at the Witcher 3, whose devs are really putting all they got into creating a solid piece of game. But I think what most people are complaining about, is, what happened to Arkham Knight, and the state it was when it was released. Unplayability is a few levels above a buggy game.

It's coming out on November 10th of this year. Hopefully there won't be a "Unity" debacle with the release, but Bethesda is very different company then Ubisoft.

I'm a software dev and you are missing the point. Nobody in this thread said that they expect it to be completely bug-free, yet you start writing paragraph upon paragraph arguing against a non-existent position.

If you have ever played a Bethesda game you would know how incredibly buggy they are. CTDs are the rule and not the exception for many users, there are often multiple game-breaking bugs that they never fix (leaving it to the mod-makers to do an unofficial patch) and some generally poor design decisions in recent games that screw over PC gamers. Is it reasonable to expect a game to not crash every hour? What about not constantly getting stuck on world geometry and falling through the floor? Multiple easily replicatable bugs in the scripting system that forces you to reload earlier saves or restarting the game?

It's really going to be released this year, and as fast as at 11.11.15? I'm not going to pre-order it, because it's probably going to cost a lot of money, who's going to do it though? Probably the ones that are the most excited about it.

This is what Trouski said: "Speaking of bugs, that's the one thing I'm worried about. Games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls are notorious for having bugs that simply shouldn't exist with enough play testing. If that happens with FO4, I'm going to be pretty angry as a gamer. I'll still play the game, but here's to hoping that Bethesda does the right thing and tests the darn game thoroughly! "

Point out where NO ONE said that again.

I have owned every Fallout and Elder Scrolls game since they first came out. I even pre-ordered Fallout 3 twice. I have all of the FO and ES games on DVD except Skyrim which I bought on Steam. So while they tend to come out buggy, like every other AAA title on the market at release, I would not fault them for being buggy with games that have a ton of content that have such a vastness to the open world game play.

I addressed Trouski, which expected that the games he played as I re-quoted, to be 'bug free' with "enough play testing".

While it would be nice to have it come out this year, I think it would make more sense for them to take their time and release it next year. While I don't expect them to be able to get rid of EVERY bug and glitch before release, I do expect them to at least have it so the game is at least playable and I don't have to worry about it glitching on me when I'm five hours or better into the game after opening the case.

I still remember getting my brother Skyrim for the PS3 while I had the PC version and he was pissed when the game started to freeze and he pretty much had to start all over after playing for a good while and I'm not going to get into the graphics glitches that were in the game. Granted, I had found a few glitches in my copy, but I knew I just had to wait for a mod to fix my problems. These copies were brand new and sealed since I wanted to support the devs (I normally buy used), so I understood why my brother was upset.

If I have to pay 60+ dollars for a brand new game, then I expect them to make it worth my money. That is why I will wait a good six months to a year to pick up a game I like because by then, the game is patched to where at least 70-80% of the really problematic bugs and glitches are fixed and I can play it straight out of the box without worries.
