Oh yeah, I don't expect fallout 4 until.. MAYBE 2016 or so. Honestly, if the game is to be next gen that is. Doubtful that it would be for current gen systems. I'm not sure how big the scale will be though. I hope it's not too big. The problem with having a map too big is then it has no character and no detail because there was so much space. Hopefully they will approach it in the New Vegas way.

Oh wow, this is actually the first I've heard of Fallout 4. I played 3 a while back and it was pretty interesting. I'm always looking forward to whatever Bethesda dreams up!

I hope this time they do less wasteland and more interiors. I know that the universe is post apocalyptic but the wasteland setting is a bit overdone and stale. I would love to see some more big cities like the Enclave headquarters from Fallout 2.

Fallout 3 was astounding and immersive. New Vegas was kinda boring but had vastly superior mods available for the PC version.

Fallout 4 though... I dunno. What's the appeal for it? More story and better visuals I guess? The wasteland setting can only extend so far. It would be like if they re-released Skyrim again but with better graphics and new quests. It would be the same setting and experience. I don't just want Fallout 3 with better graphics.

They will really need to innovate the series in order for it to appeal to me.

Not for 2014, but I think it is realistic to expect a new game in 2015. I am sure the new game will be something special; they would not dare to release a new game if they knew fans will dislike it.

I hope they take quality time with 4. I would be disappointed to see another 3 or NV where it's mostly roaming the endless desert. Tons of urban settings with minor rural settings would be perfect for this.

I agree it would be nice if Fallout 4 took place in a more futuristic environment that would be kind of cool I think.

It's going to be amazing to see a Next Gen Fallout. I can not wait one bit. I'm a hardcore Fallout fan and it's one of the only games I have to get as soon as it comes out. I'm usually apathetic about most game releases and just wait a while. Not for Fallout. I'm getting this the day it comes out. (assuming I have a Xbox One at the time)

Fallout 4 somehow still exists even though the webpage was a fake. Bethesda is busy with Elder Scrolls Online this year so maybe we'll see something next year. Keeping my fingers crossed that a Fallout 4 is official.

Well, they did sort of confirm 2015 for Fallout 4, here's some info:
    http://news.softpedia.com/news/Fall...PS4-Xbox-One-PS3-Xbox-360-Report-361446.shtml

And it says on that page:
EDIT: Wait, looks like I dun goofed, that bit of news wasn't true:
    http://kotaku.com/no-bethesda-didnt-secretly-show-fallout-4-at-e3-514368532

Damn, I was under the impression it had been announced already :(

Nawww, as I said. It's going to be quite a while and there is no way in hell they would make a cross-gen game. The new consoles are so much more powerful. It would be like playing Skyrim on a PC from 2006. It'd look like absolute shit and be barely playable.

You scared me for a second when you said it was going to be cross-gen. I will be happy to wait another year because I know they will do a good job. I just really wish that Bethesda is going to let Obsidian help out. New Vegas was fantastic in my opinion.

Seeing as all the Fallout games have been amazing, I doubt the new one will be any different. I don't mind if it's in the wastelands, that's part of the idea! I LOVE the gameplay, character progress as well as the storylines: now if it's in a big city it might be more attractive but all I want is for the gameplay to stay the same.

If it was coming out in mid 2014, they would have at least said something about it. I'd predict winter 2014-spring-2015.

As much as I am anticipating the release of Fallout 4, I wont be surprised if we don't see or hear any big official news for a long time. It seems as if the game is still in its early stages based on the limited news that's available.

Fallout 4 is probably the only future game I'm interested in at the moment.

Sooooooo, is this game still a thing?
The last Fallout game is Fallout: New Vegas, and when was it released again? 2010? 2011?
I love playing as The Courier and The Lone Wanderer, can't wait to play as them (or a new player avatar) again!
Post apocalyptic setting is one of my favourite in stories, so the Fallout series has always been one of my favourite.

Nothing was announced. There was a troll who spent $10000 on making a fake site to create a temporary hype for a false date.
It is speculated Fallout 4 is in development, but nobody knows for sure.

Still no news about Fallout 4, although most people assume it will take place in Boston and that the game is indeed in development. You won't hear that from the developers, though.
