I consider myself a fan of horror games, altough I haven't played very many of them. I haven't played Silent Hill, for instance, but I'm considering getting SH2 if I'm able to get it on my hands.

I like games like Amnesia, Penumbra, Metro and Thief. Most of which are first person exclusive and have heavy emphasis on scarcity, adventure and horror.

Speaking of horror games, have you guys heard of Among The Sleep?

I think it very looks promising:

Well yeah, that's my guess, too. Maybe they could port it to Ouya? ;)

I finally got around to playing Biohazard: Director's Cut - Dual Shock Edition (ps1). This game is tough as balls but, science damn it, is it good! I'm of course playing on Arrange mode which rearranges enemy & item placement and frankly, item placement makes more sense in this version compared to the original. The herbicide chemical is found outside, the wooden shield emblem is found in the room with the knights, the "blue eye" diamond is hidden behind the clock in the dining hall, the Colt Python is found where the broken shotgun used to be, the broken shotgun is found in the west wing save room, the sword key is found in a cupboard, so on and so forth... Anyway, I'm really enjoying it!

Playing hide and seek in the dark with your friends when you were little. That's some scary shit! I joke of course. I haven't really played many survival horrors. I always wanted to get DayZ but I need a new computer.

Finally found some anti-mod kill Action Replay codes for my Biohazard 3 import to work on my chipped ps1 (*). Save for Zero, 3 is my least favourite of the old-school bunch, but it's also one the toughest: REmake > 3 > C:V > Zero > 1/DC > 2, the latter being an absolute walk in the park apart from the Hunk & Tofu bonus scenarios.
Anyway, back to 3: started playing on Heavy Mode (= Hard) and Nemesis is just relentless, I'm really having a hard time getting through every encounter but I must, because the rewards are rather significant.

(*) A bit of background info: some later ps1 releases come with anti-mod software on the disc which would detect earlier versions of ps1 mod chips and would render the import unplayable on a modded system. Building a ten meter high wall only increases the need for twelve meter high ladders, thusly “stealth” mod chips would soon be developed, effectively circumventing the disc's anti-mod software. Sadly I never got around to uprading so using anti-mod kill codes with a cheat cartridge - such as the Action Replay, Gameshark or Xplorer - is as good as it gets for now.

Biohazard is the Japanese 'version' of Resident Evil, no? I've only ever played 4 & 5, but I know the first ones were way scarier and intense. Good to see someone who doesn't rely on graphics to have a good time, cerberus!

Biohazard is indeed the original name of the series. Graphics are the least of my concerns when playing video games. To me, story is the most important feature, no matter how goofy or serious. Followed by gameplay and lastly graphics, which admittedly, are a nice bonus. Just look at REmake on Gamecube/Wii; that game oozes atmosphere, it still looks better than some of today's games and it's ten times more survival horror than any modern attempts at the genre combined. As far as I'm concerned, REmake is the definitive survival horror experience.
