Cube World, Terraria, Starbound, there's several out there to choose from! Terraria is probably one of the more addicting ones, at least for me. Cube World focuses more on the adventure rather than the architecture.

Hard to say. Terraria is the closest thing, but it's not first person mode. It's a side scrolling type of game or something.

There are a lot of games that are very similar to Minecraft. Trove, Unturned, Lego World, Terraria, Cube World and others. I really like Unturned and Terraria and also Lego.

At the moment I am playing Terraria a lot. You've probably heard of it by now, but in case you haven't: It's similar to Minecraft in the way that the world is made out of blocks and you have to build shelters and explore caves to survive. However, unlike Minecraft it is much more combat focused. Killing massive amounts of mobs or Bosses for loot makes up a big part of the game and it's a lot of fun!

I'm personally a fan of Cubic Castles, which takes putting squares together into a specific shape to the next level. The mining and putting together of items is extremely similar to that of Minecraft and I suggest it for anyone who may want to try a mine craft without paying Minecraft pricing before deciding if you want it or not.

That's a pretty good list. I'm pretty tempted to check those other games out. I've tried Unturned and Terraria before, but not the others that you've listed.

Minecraft is the best and i know there are tons of clones out there it's not even funny. I heard about this game SkySaga, i've read good reviews about it. I'm sticking to MInecraft for now though. Nothing can top this game. :)

I don't know if anyone has mentioned rust yet. It's a game on steam that's a little similar to minecraft. You go out and get resources and use them to build shelter and whatever. It doesn't have the same modding community that minecraft does, but not many games do.

Terraria if you don't mind that it's 2D. It's a great block based game and has many features minecraft doesn't do very well like huge boss battles, NPCs and more!

If you want a more MMO/RPG experience try Trove which is like minecraft but has more RPG features.

There's a great MMO called Trove. I play it quite often right now. It is kind of minecraft styled, but different. You should really try it out if you want something more MMO-ish. It has very many differences, so don't expect it to be like Minecraft.

I didn't think there were other games out there similar to mine craft. The Wii U coming out with basically a copy cat is something I would love to see and how much interest it will gain.

Basically Hundreds of shitty knock offs that don't actually compare to how good Minecraft is.

Unturned is pretty good for PvP, although things can get a little lopsided in the beginning.

If you want an MMO, then Trove is for you. If you want a game about crafting, surviving and exploring, then Terraria is for you. It is like Minecraft, but with more features.

Hm. Games with crafting/building and survival. Don't Starve (cartoony but still can be scary, can be played co-op!), The Forest (horror elements), Rust, Space Engineer (can be multiplayer; it's minecraft with spaceships!), NEO Scavenger (hardcore post-apocalypse survival), and my nephew plays one that looks a lot like minecraft I think it's Roblox?

You might want to give a try to guncraft. It's a quite fun game which is a FPS based on the cube style graphic of Minecraft. Another one pretty famous is a survival game, always based on the cube style graphics, called Unturned.

Terraria, Edge of Space, Castleminer Z are some of the better ones.

Terraria in a weird way is rather similar in certain aspects and does its own thing really. Very addictive and worth checking out when you have the chance. It also has endless amounts of mods to experiment with.

Nope. Usually this type of question is asked by somebody that wants to play the game but doesn't want to pay for it.
