There are many similar games but I don't think any of them are quite worth it to be honest. I didn't spend that much time with it but Terraria was pretty boring in my experience.

It's funny you say that because I've been absolutely obsessed with Terraria recently. I got it on sale as part of a Humble Bundle (I think, or a Steam sale) and it's so much fun. You create your own houses, and mine for ore and craft stuff... I don't know why, but it's all I've been playing. Maybe because it's easy, you can put some music or a podcast and just plug away at it. The multiplayer is also very easy and fun to do since you can use your single player character in multiplayer, and your world. I can't recommend it enough.

I've seen a lot of mobile games that are clones of minecraft. I have never tried any of them though so I don't know if they are any good. I'm guessing they don't compare since minecraft probably the most compete considering they were the first and they have been around for a long time so they have has lots of time to develop, but I'd you're looking for something else then I guess it's worth a try since they are all free on mobile anyway.

Other than the suggestion's already given, there is a game newly released I think called portal knight's. it isn't finished yet but gives off the same minecrafty feeling. Blocky world, crafting, fighting, this one however involves various worlds/stages and you can have a homeworld you can choose to build up on as you proceed to explore all the various worlds. Check it out, it's on steam. I'd link it if I could.

Probably Trove is the closest as far as gameplay, but it is much younger game so has matured to the sophistication that is in Minecraft. They are pushing hard on item creation and dungeon creation and things like that. But there are a lot of things that feel better than Minecraft, and overall it is a very fun game. Also it is free.

I kept hearing about that game, but I never really had time to actually see if it measured up to the hype. I also heard about Starbound, but I'm not touching that game until it is actually finished and more importantly optimized so it can run on my computer.

I've seen people talk about Roblox before, but honestly it seems like a dumbed-down version of Mojang's Classic, probably not worth my or anyone's time.

Well! I played Minecraft a lot on my lappy and I don't think that there would be any game in comparison to Minecraft. But after searching for long I came to know about Fortresscraft and Synthetic World. Both are like Minecraft but not as good as Minecraft.

If you are one of those players who care about graphics I personally recommend you a game named Rust, it is similar to minecraft but it is way funnier, that is my opinion though.

I'm a huge fan of Terraria, and it's quite similar to Minecraft in a lot of ways, just in 2D with a greater emphasis on combat and progression.

Does anyone know what the next gen version of minecraft was called? The one where you could like build palm trees and use odd block shapes in full rendering

If you don't mind it being on a 2D plane, Terraria is basically the same game. If you want a wackier version you can try Starbound which is Terraria IN SPAAAACE with aliens and stuff. :p

Ace of spades, for the computer, is actually very similar. The graphics are also cubes, but the main difference is that the main objective is to kill the other players! Give it a try, you'll probably like it.

There will always be the obvious Terraria. There's also Roblox, though.. I wouldn't recommend it. At all.

Rust is a fairly new one. And Ark:Survival Revolved it pretty dang great. Don't Starve is a personal favorite along with Star Bound. Wurm Online is an MMORPG that I haven't personally played but is supposed to be very good?

In Fallout 4, you can build entire settlements and start a new life after a nuclear fallout ravaged the United States (and the rest of the world). You will be tasked to make them houses, bring electricity, purify the water supplies, set up defenses against invaders, and many more. It's basically the Sims in a first person view, and that's just a part of the game. The rest is exploration through a vast map, and killing monsters that block your path. It's a great game, you should try it.
