You're saying that GTA IV isn't more wellmade than Vice City? Lol. Well, I must admit that I never played Vice City, but I did play a bit of Vice City Stories, which I believe to be very similar. So very many things are just too wrong in that game :p Still loved it, though :D

I honestly doubt this'll beat Red Dead Redemption - that game was simply too good... but who knows, we'll see.

Thanks, I didn't notice this one.

As much as I loved RDR, I thought it got a bit boring online and I still prefer GTA 4s online to that of RDR, I think its the driving and jumps. Although on Red Dead Redemption I did love chasing bears down and punching them until they started to run away, that was fun. Same goes for stabbing Cougars.

Dunno if you read the info but the map is supposed to be as big as RDR, GTA SA and GTA 4 put together. I'm hoping that it's at least better than GTA 4 because that was terrible when you compare it to GTA San Andreas.

I meant mostly the singleplayer, since I see multiplayer as more of a distraction in those two games. :) And yes, I've heard about the size, but quantity does not equal quality... otherwise the MMO genre wouldn't be so boring. :p

Oh yes the single player of RDR poops all over GTA4. But out of the two I always go back to GTA4 because I enjoy the online so much.

I never really got around to playing GTA IV's multiplayer (and I never actually finished the game), because GFWL made it a living hell for me to play... not to mention deleting my saved games twice. :( I was hoping to get GTA IV for PS3 one day and experience it like it was meant to be, since it seems Rockstar is forgetting how to make games on PC. After all, RDR was a console only game and that was bloody brilliant.

The story is pretty good and rather gritty but I love that kind of stuff.

Speaking of PCs I'm probably going to join the master race at some point. Probably when the new consoles come out because I don't want to waste my money on something that's not as good.

Edit: I mean i'll buy a PC and not waste my money on an inferior gaming platform.

Man, that is very unfortunate. That saddens me. Really, it does. GTA IV has such a long and brilliant story, and you should not miss out on it. Especially the two different endings. Man, you should give it another shot straight away. And while you're on it, if you have the money, you should get Episodes From Liberty City as well. It's my second most played game after Gmod.

From time to time, you'll end up asking "Wait.... Why am I killing this guy again?", as the story is very stretched out, detailed, and perhaps a little derailing from the main path. But it slowly goes forward, and it's too damn entertaining. The multiplayer is pretty good as well. A little difficult perhaps, but you can do some crazy stuff with vehicles that you could never do alone, and it's ten times more fun with other online players :)

That's very good to hear. Way to go! :D

I wouldn't say it's difficult, i'd say it makes you have to think about what you're doing instead of running in guns blazing.

    How I play.
When I play I take my time, make sure I'm well equipped, wherever I go i'm making tactical decisions and thinking of cover, escape routes, vantage points and looking at the map to make sure I don't get ambushed while i'm hunting someone down.
Another tip is when you're in a car chase, aim for the drivers head, not the car. When he's dead you can kill his passengers a bit easier if they have any.

I know which cars handle the best, provide protection, speed etc. How to handle bikes so I can jump almost anything and know the map like the back of my hand.

It's easy to get kills when you start thinking about what you're doing because most people just run out in the open and try and have a wild west style shoot out.

I play with friendly fire and police on and Auto aim off. Police are on to lower the amount of modders you encounter on xbox + when there's no cars just shoot and attract them and you have a vehicle. They also provide more of a challenge and someone to shoot while waiting for players.
I don't bother with glitches or anything like that because it's nooby as hell. I don't fly choppers either unless they're for transport.
Decisions like landing a chopper on a roof with a way down is also a smart idea in case your chopper gets destroyed.

I get accused of being a modder regularly just because I don't die due to precautions and thinking about what I do.

The times I play online, it's usually with friends, so we team up together and do whatever we want. One thing I like is to do some BMX with motorcycles on the big skateramps. Once, we were four guys in one chopper, and I was flying, supposed to land in a rooftop. When we were almost there, someone shot the tail off, and the chopper span out of control. Everyone were like "MAN, CONTROL THE CHOPPER TO CRASH ON THE ROOF, WE'RE NEARLY THERE!", and I made the chopper move in direction of the rooftop despite how it span around wildly and was slowly descending more and more. Just barely didn't manage to land on the roof, then we crashed and exploded xD

Ahahaha I can control it pretty well when there's no tail. It's quite easy, you just have to move the analog stick (I play xbox don't forget :p) depending on which way the chopper is facing, towards your destination.

I usually play alone because the rest of my friends are COD fan boys.

EDIT: If you have xbox, wanna play GTA?

I know I've been missing out a lot, but I was just really frustrated with the ridiculous implementation of Games For Windows Live... it's a plague. It's the same reason for why I haven't played any Dawn of War II multiplayer. Yeah, I think I might get the complete edition with Episodes From Liberty City on PS3 soon. After all, Christmas is coming and that will be an excuse to spend more money.
