Guns in Minecraft

Having guns just destroys the game a bit in my opinion. It's a bit of an overkill, don't you think? I think I'd rather stick with my bow and sword.

 

I'm not sure it fits, it feels a bit weird. To be honest if you want that sort of thing a wand that fired magic out of it would be a better fit in Minecraft.

I've seen a few mods with guns and things in them and it just feels odd. Also they never make use of the natural resources....why can't you make it out of iron and wood, and make bullets out of iron and gunpowder? In my experience they've always added things to the generation of the game which I don't like.

 

It would ruin the game of Minecraft and swords would be no use same with bows. No. No. No.

 

Guns in Minecraft has been suggested multiple times, I think sometime in the near future it might be input into the game, but it also might ruin it. I personally think it might be pretty cool.

 

I don't like the idea of guns in minecraft at all. Maybe the combat system needs to be upgraded a bit, but I don't think guns are the right way to do it. The idea of minecraft is that you spawn with nothing and you have to try to build from that. Most technology mods don't really fit into that, and guns definitely don't.

 

I agree I think a lot of the charm of minecraft is being able to find a mod for practically anything you want to do in the game. Plus adding guns to the default game wouldn't really feel right to me.

 

I'm not a big fan of guns myself, so I definitely wouldn't like them in vanilla. I don't think they actually fit, since Minecraft is kind of medieval-ish. If you want guns, you can always install mods that have them, so I don't see any problems.

 

I don't think there should be any guns in the clean version as they don't really fit the game, just leave them to mods.

 

Well I'm not so sure about it, I mean Minecraft looks and feels like something old or medieval so I don't think guns will suit it very much. Maybe powerful crossbows but not really guns.

 

Although it may seem a bit weird considering how we know the game right now, maybe it would be cool to try something like this. I mean, it would take some time to get used to it, there's no doubt to that. But, who knows? Maybe a separate expansion pack, only for those who'd like it, would fit in quite good.

 

Should guns be added to Vanilla Minecraft? HECK NO!
Is a mod that implements guns a good idea? Yes, and it's been done before. The thing is, Minecraft is not really meant to be played as a first person shooter so anyone expecting a CoD experience just because they added guns is not gonna have a fun time.

I think guns aren't very creative compared to all of the other wonderful stuff that you can build into this game, and there are a hundred other mods I would download before installing a mod that adds guns to MC.

 

I prefer that the devs wouldnt add any guns. In my opinion guns will make the game less fun and they should keep it as a mod option.

 

I recall one time playing around with a gun mod. I do admit that it was fun to mow things down and blow up everything. They even had a flamethrower and it was cool to fool around with. But I don't think guns should be in Minecraft, takes away that Medieval feel. If I want guns in a Minecraft game, I will just play 7 days to die.

 

No. Keep guns out of Minecraft. The most acceptable possible thing is Rust-esque guns, like the Handcannon and the Bolt action rifle. There are already mods and servers for guns, even texture packs, so if you want them so bad go download those. All we need are more little kids migrating from COD just because their friend told them Minecraft has guns. Minecraft needs to stay in the medieval age, and anything more has to be through mods.

 

It's okay for me I guess... Only in servers or mods. Besides there are games like Minecraft with guns like Unturned or 7 Days to die. Just play that game if you want guns on Minecraft.
