I don't survive that long on hardcore mode. Props to anyone that is able to last a few days!

I'm the kind of Minecraft player that needs to die at least 50 times before I can accomplish anything so I don't think this game mode is for me.

I both love and hate hardcore. I love the accomplishment I get from it. Oh what did you build in your hardcore world? Me? I built a floating windmill from gorillaz. Is that world still there? No... No it is not. I died because I fell off my island.

If you're looking for a challenge Hardcore Mode definitely lives up to it! It's hard to start, and you still have to be careful even when you're geared up. Definitely a different Minecraft experience.

I love hardcore mode. I can usually last a few hours no problem in a given server, and there are times where I've lasted far longer than that. Hardcore mode is for serious players, and you can't make mistakes or you'll be dead.

It is pretty cool. I have only played with it once because I am not really for the whole you die once and then it is game over. I think the first time I spawned next to a huge hole and it was dark. Took a wrong step and fell to my death....Super fun!

Honestly, it's not that hard, but that might be because I play a lot of hardcore survival games like DayZ and Rust. Minecraft hardcore is pretty easy compared to hardcore in those. It is true that if you play on a hardcore server it bans you, and if you play singleplayer hardcore it deletes your world. It provides a nice challenge, and about one third of all my worlds are hardcore, and I've probably made 100 or so hardcore worlds in the past. It provides an adrenaline fueled challenge, and provides an incentive to survive, instead of just respawning and using death as a strategy to go back home.

I have tried the hardcore mode, but it's really not my cup of tea. As I have already mentioned here, I am not a hardcore player. I just play the game to have some fun.

I absolutely love hardcore. After playing normal survival for so long, the "danger" of seeing a skeleton hiding under a tree, or a flaming zombie, or a spider, can really wear off. You deck yourself out with armor and nice weapons, and they are no longer a real threat. In hardcore, you start worrying about EVERYTHING. Do I really want to climb that mountain? I'm going to have to come back down, and will need a safe path.... Is it starting to be night? Better sleep NOW. Is that a creeper way over there? Yeah, not going anywhere near that... etc. It just makes you appreciate parts of the gameplay that didn't seem as hard anymore. It's a rush!

Yeah I do it all the time but I can't enjoy the game because I'm dying left and right so I just go for something more tamed and relaxing.

I don't really like doing hardcore mode. I like a hard game, but it gets annoying when you get knocked by a single skeleton hit into the lava, and it is just game over from then on. It just doesn't really feel like a legit death, unless you died fighting for your life. In regular survival, that isn't much of a setback, but in hardcore, it is game over and your world is gone.

I guess that hardcore just isn't the game mode for me though, I hope other people enjoy it.

I like the concept of "Hardcore" mode. It brings the whole "I really need to watch what I do" kind of thing into the game. It teaches you how to be careful, plan out your decisions, and work strategically not to die.
Hardcore mode was a great addition in this game.

If I'm playing vanilla, I almost exclusively play on Hardcore.

Hardcore mode can be fun I guess. But I actually really hate it now because the moment you get killed, you're done. That means you have to be REALLY careful with what you do. If you mess up, game over.

I tried playing Minecraft on Hardcore mode and I died on my first night. A creeper creep behind me while I was building my house. And I never played on Hardcore mode ever again.

Yeah it can be hard to start with because if you don't have a sufficient shelter by day one. You will get stomped on my mobs instantly but after that, it becomes easier everyday. You just have to be careful.

I'm comfortable playing there now but for the longest time I stayed far, far away from hardcore mode. The first time I played I was fully equipped with powerful weapons and armor and I still died the very first night. After that I spawned 4 more times and every time I awoke to my house already being torn apart by endermen. It wasn't pretty. I still die a lot in hardcore mode but not nearly as much as I did when I started. It's true that it's only there for people that can play really well.
