Yeah, I think the devs really niped that in the bud just by making LFR and heroic dungeons so easy. It used to be,back in the days of BC that heroics were difficult, so players would get angry at each other for mistakes.. but now you can“t really make many mistakes that will wipe the group unless you do it on purpose. Most people hop into LFR and heroics and just sprint to the end without failing, and without needing to talk... this cures toxic players...

That's the reason why I mostly go for single player games now. Sure, I dipped my toe in playing online with other people, but aside from a couple of decent people, most players I ran into rubbed me the wrong way. Now, the only way I can get myself into playing online again is if a friend I know and like invites me since I refuse to join up with random players now.

I haven't noticed a difference in the community since 2007. The community has always had its fair share of morons, and that number has increased just like any population with the rise (and now fall) in subscriptions. Dealing with clowns just comes with the territory.

I think it really depends on many things, like the server, the faction, etc. I personally feel like the community never changes too much, it's just that we grow up and things that we used to tolerate suddenly become irritating. It's also become mainstream so it's only natural that the community would deteriorate.
