Have you ever gone to Minecon?

I did not even know it existed until just now. If I had a lot of money and time too to such things then yes count me in. As it is now cant even afford to go the anime/fantasy conventions that happen a few towns over.

I think it would be cool to meet some of the minecraft you tubers. I've always wondered what they would be like in person. I guess some of them are a celebrity in the minecrafting world.

I'm sure this doesn't exist but they should have a minecraft run there where you have to run over obstacles and get away from the creepers.

This might not be a popular opinion, but I think going to Minecon would be a waste of time. All you would do is meet and greet a few streamers, see some information you could have seen a few hours later online, then that's all. If I ever won a ticket to Minecon or something, I would just sell it, because I have no need to go there at all.

From the videos on the Internet it seems like it would be filled with young kids and to be honest I don't really think their is enough content in Minecraft to host an entire con around it.

Christ no. I like minecraft but that con is literally loads of little kids and shit and the questions they ask the panels are so cringe worthy..

I'm a pretty big fan of Minecraft, so I'm planning to go next year with a few friends and family to get that sweet cape, get all the latest Minecraft merchandise, and hopefully meet some Youtubers. I'm really looking forward to it, and if anyone else here is going I hope to see you there. I hope the food is good, since I heard that some of it is really great, like Creeper Croissants and Wood Block Cake. It's going to be the first real gaming conference i'll be at, and as I said, I'm looking forward to it greatly.

I never went to Minecon and I don't plan to go there because it's far for me. But if Minecon was in my country, I would go there!
Also Minecon must be full with a lot of little kids as others say.

My friend went because his parents gave him a lot of money a few years back for getting good grades. So he went to minecon. He said it was awesome and worth every penny if you love minecraft. I would never go personally, but it seems fun.

I would have gone if it was in the UK, but travelling any further would have been to far for me. I have travlled to conventions in the UK but nothing specific like this.

No but I would love to. Not only do you get see Minecraft but they feature a bunch of up and coming sandbox games as well. It sucks because it's so far away from me and I never have the time to plan for it. I might try to make it out next year if I can. I think it would be a blast. I guess it would be along the lines of Comicon? I've been to a few conventions that royally sucked but I feel like this one would be worth the effort, especially because of how much I like Mojang and Minecraft!

I am not into Minecraft enough to go to an event like this. I know a lot of people who would kill to get into Minecon, so if I ever had the opportunity to go I would probably let a friend go or something. The game is fun, but I do not feel that events like this would be fun at all.

Sounds like fun, I have never been to one especially for the fact that they don't organise them in my country. I have been to various comic-cons and there are a lot of minecraft stands and minecraft fans dressed like creepers or the main character and so on lol. But no, haven't been to Minecon.
