I love scary games, but often they're too gory for my taste (FEAR). I remember once I was playing an fps horror, and my character's arm came into the screen and I fired automatically. I was like "Man, get a grip!" Ha ha ha!

Yup, more scary stuff would be a great addition. I think it would be cool if it was night when you went onto the durface, or that there were snowstorms. Having a gas mask on, worrying about monsters, and not being able to see as much? Could be very frightening.

Like really dark night, as well, not a blinding moon up in the sky. It would be great to sneak along the surface and then see a silhouette up on a wall. I did like the part in the 12-minute trailer when you see that new mutant: just a pair of eyes in the darkness.

Ha ha, yeah, Boris, so follow orders, 'kay? :p

I absolutely hate horror and scary stuff, and that's precisely why I want to see more, much more.

Some scary elements would be cool such as floor traps on near corpes of dead soldiers. Why traps? Because it can't be that lively and free ammo everywhere in that kind of future & place. Homeless people who are isolated between closed airlocks and in abandoned places would use these ammos on bodies as bait to catch humans to eat! Yes, they should starve to death since there isn't agriculture at all.

sorry for bad English. I have more ideas but hard to explain in English. I read yours as well please keep writing. :)

Another idea: AFAIR, Artyom can survive about 30 secs in the surface without gas mask. So in one scene, your mask will be broken by a monster on close attack. Destination will be close and you will run to safehuse like Usain Bolt between monsters. that will be most paniced 30 secs of your life. :D

This would be cool, but it would have to be supremely well-made for it to work. I hate games which are just a run of trial-and-error missions, trying to figure out how to do a mission within a set time. But if it was made like the scripted "cinematic" parts in Metro 2033, I think it could work very well! :)

I watched a couple of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gameplay vids, and that game looks super-scary, even more than Metro. I hope they try to head in that direction for scariness. :)

More scary would be cool, but I believe they already had a perfect balance with it in Metro 2033 as is. I don't want to feel like I'm playing Amnesia. I loved Metro 2033 the way it was.

I've been playing Stalker, and they manage to make it playable, but at the same time make you feel extremely vulnerable. This makes it realistic and, necessarily, scary, because in reality facing a pack of wild dogs really isn't very pleasant. Of course, they are the weakest enemies, so imagine how scary the mutants will be? Ha ha!

So basically Metro Last Light shouldn't have a weaker main character who dies every few hits, but maybe make the environment and sounds, as well as the AI slightly more psychological, make it work on your nerves a bit. :) Just my thoughts.
