How do you feel about Notch leaving Mojang?

    I really disagree with this. Most game developers do it to be innovative. Notch, near the end, probably spend 99% of his time ´managing´ stuff, which isn´t where his true talents are. The really best developers will always want to work on the next project, to have freedom to just do stuff on a whim. It is the reason why companies like MSFT and Google lose steam, because the early, innovate guys who made the company what it is, get bogged down in management duties. The truly revolutionary guys jump from start up to start up.

    It does indeed, but it's also true. Without Notch and his amazing technical and leadership skills Minecraft wouldn't even be half the game it is now, hopefully Microsoft do great things with it.

    Definitely not. Why would they do so? It does not make sense. Yes, it was his choice.

    He is the main character and that is why it's good to call him the heart of the game. Isn't it?

    He was already talking about leaving minecraft and focusing on other project so I was really surprised about it. It's a shame yeah, because he is really a great producers and put in a lot of work on minecraft.
