How do you name your Worlds?

Mostly it's just whatever is on my mind at the time. I've had several Doctor Who themed worlds because of I don't really care what it's called since for the most part it will only be me seeing it. Sometimes I put some effort in but not usually.

I don't really bother naming them, I usually just go with things like "World 1" and such, though there are situations where I simply feel like fooling around and I name it something silly. It varies for me, really. It depends on how I feel like at the time.

I usually name them after the date I started it and something after that. So if I started a map today I could call it "18.08.2014 Wood only" for example. It makes it easier for me to see if it's a world I've spent a lot of time in or if it's just something I played for 5 minutes to test something.

When I first started playing Minecraft I created a world, my very first glimpse into Minecraft, I named it "ZiggyLand" and ever since then I've just added a number onto the end of it when I create new worlds. Granted there's only 2 of these so I don't think it really matters what I name them, I'll probably have to get more creative in the future if I ever make new worlds.

I would name it what I want my goal to be. Say that I want to build a complete empire with a railroad system and lots of redstone contraptions making it "modern". Usually I'd just ragequit anyway and make another world to start on, and I usually play on Multiplayer servers anyway.

Some of my worlds are named things like "Redstone test world" or "TNT Test", but most of my survival worlds are just named "survival world" or something similar

I either use video game world names, or anything random that will come to my mind at the moment. I don't like to spend too much time naming a world, I want to build already! :D

I usually just name them '1', '2', '3' etc. Not very creative, I know.

Same here! I usually name my world with a generic "1", "World 1", or "W1". I need to think of something creative whenever I'm naming my world next time! :D

Very randomly. If I can't think of anything good I would just look around my room and try to find an item and name my world after that item. For example, I look around and I see a pillow, that world would be called "Pillow World".

I have a really nasty habit of naming them all "world". This is a nightmare when I go back later and try and sort everyhting or locate old ones.

I just name it randomly. I get two words at random the first thing that pops out of my head and I just name my world after that two random worlds. Like the other day I named my world "Turtle Cabinet".

It's quite embarrassing to admit this but... I normally just name them "World 1", "World 2", "World 3".... I don't want to waste time thinking of names! I made that mistake too many times in mmo's, In Aura Kingdom I spent literally 2 hours thinking of a name for my first character, then ended up deleting him 2 days later. Haha :p

Generally based on the mode or what i want to create in that world. I tend to avoid using numbers as it can be hard to remember sometimes, so i use descriptive language based on what i'm doing in that world.

Like some in this thread, I go with the file cabinet world 1,2,3 approach. I actually like to save my creativity for when I'm actually inside the game and up and running. If I will share a world or seed then I do like to come up with a clever or fancy name for the world that seems rather descriptive enough for the average user.

Since you never know what you are going to get it's usually World 11 for me though, haha!

I just type randomly on my keyboard. I don't really think about naming the worlds, it will take a long time for me to think so I type randomly.

I just name them with my name. So if someone else plays minecraft I know if they've been messing around in my world. An effective method.

I have two ways to go about it. One way is that I name them after a favorite charachter in a game/anime OR do something perhaps more creative. I do an anagram. What? Yes that's right. Its good fun. Try it out and let your friends figure it out.
