How do you travel long distances?

I love to travel long distances in my world. I do get lost pretty often though. I have to make new houses all around the land. Travelling is one of my favourite things when it comes to Minecraft. It's too bad I often forget to plant way points showing where my house is.

 

The furthest I've travelled is by Nether Portal.. I created one that was a few minutes walk in the Nether to get to, and the real world portal was created a huge distance away, a few blocks underground within a cave in some strange snowy mountain range. I used my compass to walk back home, but it took an incredibly long time, so I just use the portals now to go back there (I built a small outpost there).

 

I guess I would find it a thrill, I usually find a good spot to set up a settlement and then make a map to go explore the land that the map will allow to be filled it. I think it is wonderful that Minecraft is an endless sandbox world with so much to explore.

 

Wandering around in the endless world of minecraft is one of the things i enjoy doing in the game. It is so much fun to explore new places and discover new things in the game. And i love sailing through the stillness of the sea and ocean too.

 

I absolutely love travelling long distance, and pretending it is an epic journey to a temple full of treasure. What can make that journey even more enjoyable is friends travelling with me, helping each other along the way. I mainly walk through the distance and sprint when needed to conserve on food resources, and use a bat when travelling through expanse, seemingly endless oceans, and place a magnet on the "w" key fully automating that long and boring process. Things are much more interesting on land though, where there are numerous trees, villages, mobs that are thirsting for your blood and more, and even better if you have mods that introduces structures to the game, such as temples, giant trees, abandoned ruins, castles, you name it! Overall, walking is the most entertaining and fun method for me.

 

Whenever I play me and my friends create super complicated travel systems so that we can get from one place to another super quickly. We had a subway system through the nether so we could get from one end of the map to the other and other cool things like that. God, I love minecraft.

 

At first, I don't have horse so I travel on foot. I bring all the necessary things I need to survive on Minecraft. And now I have a horse, I travel or explore a lot.

 

I normally go wherever, but I'll set up a rail system if I really have a need to travel long distances in short periods of time. There's not really a faster way to get around, and I find it simple enough to get a decent rail system going across the map.

 

I just get a speed potion and alot of steak to survive. I take my weapons with me and go running! I get places really easily and it's really fun as well to explore!

 

I just love to travel long distances in Minecraft. However, it has happened to me a couple of times that I lost my house but eventually have always found it.

 

I just run all the way most of the times. If theres a sea I love using a boat.

 

I've always loved exploring, and I do it the old fashioned way...I walk.. I usually bring torches with me though, so when I'm exploring I can find my way back pretty easily, because I have absolutely no sense of direction.
