How many hours a day/week/month do you play?

I try to limit myself at 5 hour per week so I can focus on work and self improvement. I used to play games at 40+ hours a week when I was a teen.

 

I usually spend about 2-3 hours a day after work. I guess you can say I play about 70 hours or more in a month. I will play a whole range of games, from boxing to MMORPG's. I use to play a lot more but I have much less time on my hands at the moment.

 

In my glory days I would spend 4 hours per day, every day. Even more in weekends. And this after going to school from 8 till 6.

 

We'll just say not near as much as I used to.

 

In summer I played Video games every single day up to 18 hours straight, no joke, but it all depends on how engaging the game is...

 

I have a job that has me get out a lot more in the summer and not so much in the winter. So it comes and goes with the seasons. I play a lot in the winter, and in the summer hardly have time.

 

If I find a game and get hooked on it, I usually play it until I finish it every day in my free time. Then there are periods, when I don`t play anything seriously for weeks, until I find another good game.

 

Back then I can play for 15 or 16 hours if I am fully equipped. With fully equipped, I mean be at my own place so there's no one to interrupt me, and having food and drinks that can last for the entire sessions. But I don't do that anymore, as I feel horrible the next day.

 

As a result of me being out of work I tend to play more than 35 hours a week.

 

I've cooled down a lot lately I used to play the equivalent of one day from the total hours a week, but now I spend at least 7 hours a week, which is a massive drop.

 

I think on average I play around 8 hours a week. If I have nothing to do over the weekend and it's miserable outside, I might play all day

 

I'll have the first day in months tomorrow where I will be able to actually play all day, due to my girlfriend going away to visit friends and our kid going to her biological dads for the weekend.

 

I hate to admit it but I am an mmorpg addict and I play approximately 13 hours a day. Something about virtual reality and questing and getting away from the real world for a while just draws me in. I have recently tried to cut back, but I do hear the game calling my name and my character begging me to finish leveling so I can be reborn.

 

That was almost poetic haha, in all honesty I think if you really enjoy the game your playing then why on earth should you have to cut down, that is unless it is interfering with your sleep or other aspects of your life.

 

It is all about the weather and time of year for me. If it is nasty outside, i have no problem spending a few hours gaming. If it is a sunny day, I like to get outside and interact with the real world. If new content has arrived, I am more inclined to dump a little more time into a game.

 

That's a pretty good point actually, if it is miserable outside I will play more than I will if it's sunny out.

 

I will simply play more if I don't have anything better to do or if I'm sick.

 

Between the years 2004 and 2008, I played more WoW then I slept. Actually it felt like I played WoW for 15-16 hours a day straight for 4 years. Oh God why.

 

I play Path of Exile usually around 2-3 hours per night. Sometimes I go on a binge though, like when I'm leveling a new character.

 

Once upon a time when Perfect World first came out I must have spent at least 12 hours a day on it, namely the time I wasn't sleeping I was playing it hehe.
