How much of a metro fan are you?

I know the alphabet as well. It was surprisingly the easiest part of the language to learn. Good luck with cases, they're a real bitch to memorize!

I'm also working on learning russian, but I start with the pronunciation of important words, then work towards the alphabet. I can say stuff like "Would you please speak slower?", "Where is the bank?" and nouns like hospital, hotel, car, keys etc.

 

I'm not finding it that hard to memorize variations of uppercase and lowercase symbols. Anyway, I find myself to be at an advantage. I am Polish - and since both Russian and Polish are Slavic languages - they share many similar types of pronunciation; sometimes even identical words. However, one thing that I find quite funny is that telling someone to "remember" something (in Russian) is the same as telling someone to "forget" something (in Polish). :lol: So yeah, those similarities can swing both ways. But seeing as I have that to go off, I understand that many others don't - so I really admire all of you out there who are learning Russian, since you have to put in double the effort that I have to and I bet you can still achieve greater things.

 

So that's what you've been doin, eh? I'm even more amazed. You're not silly to wish for your book to be released as a part of that thingy. If I'd want anyone that I've ever known in my entire life to write it, I'd want it to be you, because never have anyone amazed me with such skilled writing as you have.

I'm far from that. Completed the game four times, always on easy. I got the book a few months ago, but still haven't read further than page one. The only thing I can brag about regarding this, is my metro cosplay outfit, but even that contains a lot of flaws like a British gasmask and a G36C.

 

Thank you, that means a lot to me - it really does. It also encourages me to continue writing my book. Btw, a cosplay is always a nice place to start. I've never done a cosplay in my entire life. Besides, I'm pretty sure that many Russians in the Metro universe would have had access to some foreign weaponry & equipment.

 

I've played the game more times then I can count. Know every single ammo stash and every line in the game (pretty much).

I own the book and plan to buy the sequel immediately.

I've completed a "Knife-Only" playthrough on youtube on ranger-hardcore.

I plan to be doing as many last-light videos for my channel as I can muster when the game is out!

 

I think you take the cake man. I'd like to see someone else who will learn Russian just because of Metro!
