How much times does LOL have left?

In my opinion, League of Legends will still be relevant for a lot of time. E-Sports are gaining more attention and LoL Is definitely on top of that. The regular updates are also a great way to keep players on the game, so yeah, a couple more years.

Huh, the fact that you think WoW has been passed on forgotten shows how much you know. Even if I'm just talking about WoW, once legion comes out the subs will easily reach 7-8 million, if not more.

Now going ontopic to LoL, I don't think its ever going to really die down. LoL has become more than just a game, it's become a sport along with Dota. Its literally just too popular and too far developed for it to just fade away.

The only way its going to dissappear is if the 30 million people playing it all decide that Mobas aren't fun anymore. Either that, or if Riot shuts down the game for some reason.

I agree. It seems to be in the forefront of MOBA esports and for something like that I find it difficult to imagine it dying down anytime soon. I think a lot of newer MOBAs look to it as an example of what can be done and what to aim for.

Not only it is in the forefront of MOBA esports, it's more importantly, in the front of gaming in general. Everyone knows about LoL, even my mother knows about it because of a feature it got in TV. More, there's also a station that's recording and streaming live competitions.

Yeah I don't foresee LoL coming to an end anytime soon, and they've got to be working on some other title under the hoods for sure, at least thinking about it if anything.

You're right. I think this is the first game of this type to crossover to mainstream culture wherein it's not seen as that nerdy and instead maybe even kind of cool to be good at it. Probably the tournaments where people win so much money has a lot to do with it too as these events tend to legitimize anything in the eyes of the masses.

20 years sound like a long time. I guess it is popular and unique enough to last that long. As long as it continues to be updated, I suppose it could remain popular for a while.

LOL will be around for another 5 - 7 years. A player can jump in easier than they could to an MMORPG like WoW, and therefore it has staying power without investment. That being said, they might come out with new patches and versions, of course.

I think that's possible too. Way back when I would have never predicted Wow would still be relevant all these years later and yet here we are and they are even coming out with a movie. Maybe someday we'll see a LoL movie too.

I can't imagine League will be disappearing any time soon. Riot has made an insane amount of money from this game through turning it into a major E-Sport. In addition to this, the fact that it has turned into a major E-Sport has also created a massive following of the game. This isn't just in North America and Europe, it's in Brazil, Korea, China and other large E-Sport countries. I think that League will be here at the start of 2020, and I can see it going longer than that too.

The biggest support LoL has comes from South Korea, a country that has an infrastructure for gaming and the e-sports scene. Without them I imagine LoL would be pretty dead in terms of competitiveness.

People still play CS 1.6 competitively, figure that out. If this game has managed to still be relevant to the gaming industry, I'm more than certain that LoL will be around for at least 10 more years.
