I'd desire new guns with specal ammo without having to buy the dlc

Well IRL you can carry about 5-6 guns and still be able to operate them in ease. Tryed that when i had some basic army training for volunteers. Well the staff sergant gave me M249 SAW, M4A1, P90, and M21 and i had a handgun M9. The guns dont weight that much as you think (well except the SAW) , but the biggest problem is that it is not very convienient when you engaged in close quarter combat and you need to carry different rounds of ammunition that also makes some dificulties. So i will like Artyom to carry like this: 1- shotgun shells shooting pistol, 1- special weapon ( tihar, surprese (lol i like the name) and 1-2 normal type metro made rifles.

    Day One DLC

PLEASE don't have day one dlc. I would have just spent £40 on a game and i want the full game on the disk. I understand DLC later on in the life cycle just please don't have any day one, or early on in the games life unless it is free.

You know, in regards to ammo scarcity, on my first playthrough I was so reluctant to waste valuable ammo that I always tried to either go for headshots or use throwing knives. I pretty much never used grenades or any military grade ammo, ever. It ended up getting me an achievement, but I might have missed out on some good gun upgrades and I could have had an easier time using my gold ammo to take out the tougher enemies. It seems to just be how I play. One thing I did like is that your choices in regards to ammo affected you from chapter to chapter as part of a continuous system. That felt pretty smart and RPG-like.

Looks like there's new weapons already. According to vids, they include a pump-charged minigun, bolt-action sniper, side-loaded shotgun and molotov.

    Look at modern games today..
We've got armor piercing bullets, incendiary ammunition, shredding bullets for organics, ricocheting bullets

This would certainly increase immersion but its a pain in the arse for the developers :p

You gotta remember that they're seperated from the rest of the world for 20 years. THey have very limited technology, so how are they supposed to produce tesla or plasma-based weaponry?

I reckon we should keep the Fallout "fantasy" weapons aspect out of it. Even the eltric-rifle thing in the dlc for Metro 2033 wasn't such a good idea, imo.

I'm not so high on the idea of bringing different ammo types into the metro, actually. In my opinion it doesn't add much to the experience. And for example where would they get hollowpoint bullets from? It has been banned from international warfare and its pretty much only law enforcements that use that kind of ammunition, so there is pretty much no chance to find a weapon cache in the metro containing such bullets, although the metro citizens might be able to make their own variant.

To me, the system with dirty rounds and MGs works just fine. seems more appropriate to the situation in my opinion.

  10. No, that would be plain boring and would waste developer's time. Complex != Better.

F3 had mods that added variety and F:NV had that in the vanilla version. Out of a metric crapton of cartridge types I ended up using only top-notch handloaded ammo that did the most damage, breaking everything else down for brass, primers, powder and lead.
