Imperial story is a lot better if you ask me. The Stormcloaks have too many repetitive missions. I think the game developers had to make the Stormcloaks have an uphill battle for control of Skyrim, but the designers were like... 'How are we going to do this...?' They punted it and there was definitely a little fatigue over here while I was crunching my way through the Stormcloak scenarios. They all had the same feel.
I joined the Stormcloaks because they have a decent reason to want the Falmor-controlled Imperials out of their country. The imperials are wusses who let themselves get absolutely trampled over by the Falmor in the events between Oblivion and Skyrim, so I don't see why I should ally myself with those elven douchebags. You get to kill far more Falmor as a Stormcloak. The decision is simple in my opinion. And although the Nords are douchebags for taking over the land from the Forsworn, those guys are idiot cavemen so they aren't worth sympathizing over.
I can see why most would consider High Elves douchebags, but the way I see it they refused to be pushed around by Nords unlike dark elves and Argonian which get treated like crap by the stormcloaks and don't put up any fight if High Elves did the same thing they would be living in the slums of Skyrim to.
The first time I played, I chose Stormcloaks but then my game got stuck. The next time I chose Imperial. I don't really care about the different meanings of the 2. I just do whatever they want me to do. I have more fun following other quests. Raiding a stronghold is fairly easy later on in the game and the drops are not that great.
I like the feeling of rising over the government so I play as a storm cloak. I just wished that the storm cloaks weren't so racist haha.
I decided to join forces with the storm cloaks because like others I too like to stick it to the man. I have played as an imperial before and I felt like a tool to the system lol I also just like the storm cloaks colors.
I enjoyed both, but preferred the Imperial quests more. That being said, I thought the Stormcloaks were cooler in theory.
Imperials for me. I always thought Ulfric to be a rival to the Dragonborn, since he could shout as well. When I finally confronted him, I thought it would be an epic shout battle between the two. What I got was, Ulfric simply giving up.
I actually didn't join any of them. I'm pretty much neutral when it comes to these feuds and to be honest I've killed every single Imperial and Stormcloak that I came across in my travels. Maybe I'll start a new game and pick a side.
First time around, I joined the Imperials. The second time around, I still haven't chosen yet. I heard both sides of the story, followed some heroes and villains on both sides, but I feel that they're both right and wrong at the same time. I really wish there was a third party to all of this.
On my first playthrough, I joined the Imperials. And on my second playthrough, I joined Stormcloaks. Imperials have much better storyline but I also like the storyline for Stormcloaks
Played as both and honestly, I wasn't really into either faction as much as I felt like I should be. If I had to pick one though I would pick stormcloaks simply because I like Age of Oppression more than I like Age of Aggression.
Every build I have I chose Imperials. Mainly because I like their home city better, and always end up spending a lot of time there. Though I have yet to complete their story line... I always end up just rebuilding a new character and start over.
Imperials, and the reason is very clear. Ulfric wanted to take a throne only for him, it was not about people of Skryim. He didn't even care about other Nords who are not Stormcloaks. Take your time one day and talk with people about this war - I mean, some characters from different cities. Even Nords. You will be surprised how they are talking about Ulfric and his rebellion. Also, I really like Elisif.
Me being me and wanting to see it all I played both dont really have much of a prefreance between them though. Although mu Imperial character has better stats and gear so I tend to play with him more.
I've played both but Ulfric is kind of hot so I usually play stormcloak. Plus, I like taking down the original Jarl of Whiterun, it's a fun battle to go through. I haven't played Imperials in a long time so I don't really remember it.
The Stormcloaks clearly does not understand how politics works. I sided with the Imperials and am staying that way.
