Inquisition will have the first homosexual male party member

Dorian is quite interesting and never let him come onto my character as I was interested in a male when I played a female or a male and ending up withe Cassandra or Josephine which was good to do. In Orgins I did notice that if you play a male Zevran will show interest in you and in the Arl Eamon castle near the end will talk if you and him were together when you tel him you are with Leilana or Morrigorn. The same goes for Leilana she will show interest in you if you are a female commenting on your hair or body, and will be jealous but understanding if you with someone else.

 

I think it's super important to recognize that Dorian isn't ostracized because he's gay, he's specifically ostracized because he won't be making an heir. (Having sex with women for the purpose of making babies.) Homosexuality is fine in Tevinter. His family is pissed because he isn't continuing their 'perfect lineage'. And don't forget about Sera, who I'm pretty sure is a lesbian and she doesn't even focus on her sexuality at all. (To be a victim of society or anything, at least so far as her sexuality is concerned.)

 

Well, it is about time in my opinion. And yeah, based on what I got, Tevinter really don't care about homosexuality, so long you produce heir. Go ahead and have gay lovers all you want (and in fact, it is preferable since that means there'll be no bastards!), but you must produce an heir.

 

As long as the character is likable and not lazily written, I don't really care all that much about their sexual orientation. I will say that it is a nice change of pace since it can get quite boring having the same type of cut and paste romances from every other game. I enjoy a nice change of pace, though I romance characters mainly for the personalities with gender being a side thought, personally.

 

I really like this new character in the game.
