Last Light Xbox version "leaked" (02.05.2013)

Well this sucks...

 

I also dislike the feeling that "any random jerk can play the game for free while we're still waiting for our pre-ordered editions and have waited three years".
But oh well, this isn't gonna ruin anything in any way for us, is it now, guys? I don't think it will make a noticeable difference at all as long as we manage not to be spoiled about the game

What I fear is that there might be some of those people coming here to post spoilers, without warnings or whatsoever. Aaron and I will do our best to prevent this, and if you don't trust us with this task, and are too afraid that you will by mistake read a spoiler that has been posted here and not deleted yet, then I suggest you stay off the forums until you've finished the game. I don't like to say that, but it's the horrible truth

 

What makes me upset and hurt, is that even though the xbox version was the one that got leaked, the pc version will be blamed for piracy. This is why we need to educate people on how pc gaming is actually LESS vulnerable than console to piracy.

Why they send copies of the game now ? What the fuck is wrong with them...

 

people who work in stores get games early, normally under the manager's discretion. Also deep silver employees would have been playing this game a week ago too, so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Because pretty much all torrent sites take no responsibility for what people post and have no rules regarding posting stuffs. And once it gets posted on powerful sites like PirateBay, there is absolutely no way to remove it. There really wouldn't be a problem if the people who get it early stuck by the non-disclosure statement they are forced to sign. But we can't do anything about human nature can we?

The only time i agree with piracy is the "Demo" idea in which you play the first hour or so then delete it then buy it

 

I would like to point out that acting like a victim here as a PC gamer because PC gets the pirated version later is obvious bad reasoning.

Timing doesn´t mean shit in this context.At the end of the day all the versions are still up on the internet.It seems to me you are pissed off PC is getting later because you are a pirate yourself.Not a lecture, just saying don´t pretend to be a victim, when you pirate the shit out of everything.(this is coming from someone, who torrents most games and then buys them)

 

Your reasoning became invalid when you said that you yourself pirates :tsk: it is people like you who go ahead and download these things that are contributing to the problem if everyone said "fuck that" and stoped pirating it would make everyone so much happier, why should i as a consumer of digital entertainment have to put up with bollocks like DRM and always on shit, above i mentioned that a DEMO version on a piracy site would be okay yeah? but how can i bellive that you do infact go out and buy the products that you 'say' you bought i have no assurance so for all i know you could be torrenting a game for free that in a few days i will have to shell out hard earned fucking dollars for it that will have some form of DRM 'online codes do count because without say ranger mode code you are missing out on a feature of the game we paid for' just because of people like you RANT OVER!!!

 

I can't speak for everyone because based on past threads I know there are some members who will obtain a pirated version of the game.

But for fans including myself, we've been waiting a long time for this game so waiting a couple of weeks longer will make no difference, as long as we avoid spoilers on websites, forums and Youtube.

We're not pissed off that PC is getting it later, because there is a Global release date in force. Those who get it early are DS employees, online reviewers, people who work in gaming industry/retail outlets or selected people who DS have chosen to give the game to with an NDA in place.

Those who break NDA will be heavily dealt with but as for average gamers who may upload the game to pirate sites, forums, youtube etc there is nothing that can be done.

True fans will respect the work of 4A; Want the game to be a success so that we can have sequels or even pre-equels should Dimitry ever go that way with the Metro series.

The PC version of the game can be had for as little as £13 if you shop around, so if people still get Pirated versions then it's not because the game is expensive, but for selfish reasons as you've already said you'll Pirate the game yourself. :tsk:

I have full confidence that Metro LL will be another Graphical Masterpeice and an experience which we'll enjoy. Running with SS will probably melt my GPU's :laugh:
