Leona in the jungle ?

IF leona could proc her own passive, she would be a decent and very very scary jungler. She has 2 cc and a gap closer plus all the bonus damage she bring with her passive. Scary stuff...If only though...sigh...

 

Her clearing speed and sustain would be her downfall, but her ganking potential is really top-notch. Tried jungling with her before and I helped out my team greatly with my ganking capabilities. Still wouldn't really recommend her in a serious game.

 

I don't see how it's better than any other junglers and I don't see it becoming great in the future. She has a lot of CC, but lacks many other things like clearing speed and overall mobility. Even though she can stun, that doesn't mean she can gank from anywhere. I would try her, but not rely on her.

 

It just simply doesn't work. Leona can't be a jungle because she just can't do the jungle as easily as other champions. The only thing that makes her seem a 'viable jungle' are her spells. It's true that she has an easy dunk and can support the damage in the line, but, and it only guarantees a great early game. When the late game comes, Leona will be useless. With an undefined build she won't be a tank, neither a support or even an AP champion.

Trust me I know how it is.

 

I've seen it before. It's pretty fun to do that, and I have done it maybe once or twice. But I feel that she has no dueling power. So counter jungling Leona can really destroy her. But her ganks are really strong.

 

It might be trolling, like Syndra jungle or Blitzacrank jungle.
I tried Blitzacrank jungle and it's so fun. Pulling laners into the jungle instead of ganking, the Q,E,R combo OP.
Running away with w and being really tanky. He's really fun! So if that works, Leona should work too.

 

Leona jungle would be good for the ganks, but her clearance speed would be, well, shocking at most XD. maybe if you go AD then it'll be faster, but then the abilities would be less effective, so thats why generally Leona jungle is considered a troll.

 

Her clearing time is painfully slow and you'd fall behind quickly but in ganks she is amazing due to her extensive CC. She can get counter jungled really easily because she has no dueling capabilities.

 

Leona doesn't fit for jungle. She has a very bad clear. She might be viable one day if Riot makes that you can proc your own passive on the jungle minions. Untill then you should stick to more viable junglers.

 

I've seen a couple of Leona jungle users. Not once have I seen one lose, as far as my memory serves.

 

I know it's been a while since this was posted, and back in 2013 it didn't work especially because the meta wasn't that permissible. Now, with Season 5 you can see a lot of unusual stuff happening, including this particular "Leona jungle" one.
It works well now, and I advise everyone to try it.

 

I don't think it's worth it, her clear speed is not the best and she has no sustain. If she could proc her own passive her speed could be better, but I don't think riot would do that. So, in the end, I'd advise against playing Leona in the jungle, she is an amazing aggressive support though.

 

There was this weird normal match I had once. They had a Leona jungle and a Morgana. Both with Smite. Imagine our reaction, we were all like: "Mate double jungle is going to lose them the game, haha", but then the ganking began. And it didn't stop until the god damn 25 minute mark. I was Caitlyn in that match and they absoultely destroyed us. Leona with Morgana has so much CC not even my Morgana could dodge with its shield.

However, Leona as a standalone jungler wouldn't work just because her clear time is miserable. Gank-wise, yes, she's a beast.

 

I agree. Unless you've bad opponents, it's very hard to win using her.
