That is a good point, but sadly a lot of games don't do this and also by doing this you attract more people to play the game instead of looking for private servers.

I prefer a sub only myself. Atleast that way they don't nickle and dime you to death on items. Freemium needs to die.. I have a feeling that this games launch is going to be a disaster and that afterwards it will have to be rebuilt and it will be ffxiv all over again...

I have never even considered those factors for console gamers. This can be a real turn off to xbox gamers but not so much PS3 gamers as the can play online for free. Lets see how big of a factor this really is for Xbox gamers in the long run.

Bluntly put, that's your problem.I'm a PC user. I already pay for internet regardless whether I play ESO or not. I will not be paying the XBox connection because I don't own an XBox. If I get the game, I will pay for the subscription. It's not Bethesda's problem if you have all these extra costs on top of paying for the game.

You're NOT entitled to get a free game just because you have other expenses. If you can't afford it, then move on. I'm sure there are hundreds of other games that you can play.

I am a huge fan of the Fallout franchise. Does that mean I have to play every single game with the name Fallout? I never played Fallout Tactics. It didn't interest me.

Also, what makes you think ESO will be a console game? It makes sense that many PC users will play ESO as well. It didn't even occur to me that console gamers would play it through their consoles.

All these fees are somewhat outrageous. Like you said, it may not even be worth the base fee. I feel like this is the general consensus and they will lower the base fee or the subscription fee in the near future.

People will still pay to play it, and as long as they do, they'll milk you for every extra penny they could possibly obtain. It's the state of the world. Revolves around money. ;\

I think that in the case of Xbox live they just assume that you will already have it. Which is pretty fair because there are a lot of other reasons to get Xbox live. It is pretty lame that there are going to be so many costs, but that's kind of what you deal with for a lot of these games. If people don't pay it they will get rid of it, but until then they will try to pull as much money as they can.
