    Polish reviewer from Gryonline.pl gave Last Light a 9/10 and was very positive about it. :)

    Original verdict:
    Metro: Last Light z pewnością nie jest grą dla każdego, kolejną strzelaniną z górnej półki, stworzoną z myślą o masowym odbiorcy. Siła tej produkcji tkwi w tym, czym po brzegi wypełnione są jej trzewia – w dojrzałej, brutalnej, bezwzględnej treści. Nie, nie mam tu na myśli wyłącznie samej fabuły, która zresztą już niedługo doczeka się realizacji w postaci książki, ale całą masę drobnych elementów, sprawiających, że ten wirtualny świat jest tak cholernie przekonujący. A że przy okazji wygląda fenomenalnie i gra się w to naprawdę nieźle, no cóż, pozostaje się tylko cieszyć. Po takiej laurce podsumowanie nie może być inne: zakup obowiązkowy.

    Translated verdict:
    Metro: Last Light isn't just another AAA shooter aimed at a typical gamer. The game's strength lies in its mature, brutal content - and I don't mean just the story (that will get its own book soon). Metro has a ton of amazing little details that make this virtual world seem very real. And what's more - the game is absolutely beautiful. Taking all this into consideration, there can be only one verdict: must buy.

    The translation is a bit simplified though (I didn't translate it myself because I'm too lazy - I got the English version from Metacritic), but the principle is identical.

    Metro: Last Light should have been fantastic. Instead, 4A Games has delivered a broader, less interesting, less cohesive title that borrows from elsewhere when it should have built upon its own unique qualities. There’s still plenty to love, but it’s a wasted opportunity.
