Me too. I prefer playing a high price one time, and not having a monthly subscription.
But nowadays, publishers prefer subscribers or a pay-to-win game. :/

The problem with free to play games is they are often pay to win or you have to put a huge amount of time into them to get all the content. I spent a huge amount of time in LoL when I first started trying to level up my account and ended up caving to buy characters. Just wasn't worth the time to me I'd rather just pay a $15 a month fee and get all the content upfront and just play other games like LoL or Hearthstone occasionally.

Very true also the best players in most of F2P games spend more then $100 a week which is crazy you know when you spend that kind of money on a game you have a problem.

If the game is super, super, awesome, I'd pay upwards of 20 a month I'm sure. There are very few games that good though, and I'm not going to pay anything, much less 15-20 bucks for a mediocre game. There are tons of free mediocre games already haha.

I'd pay 15USD a month max, but it has to be a really good game to be worth it. Most current MMOs I would pay no more than 10$ per month.

I agree with Rocketman. I'd only pay 15 is it was an amazing game (I mean GOTY quality).

I agree, especially since you can get almost the same enjoyment for free, depending on the game.
Some people have more money than sense I guess :)

It all depends on the game really. If it were an average game, my max would probably be around 5 dollars. If it were a low level game, I'd rather just try the trail and base my judgement off of reviews of other people than actually waste money on a game I probably won't have fun on.

However, if it were an absolutely amazing and addictive game, I think I would be prepared to stretch my range to 20 dollars per month if I think that I can imagine myself playing the game regularly.

It seems the general consensus is about $10-15 a month and that sounds quite reasonable. If you play the game a lot then I'd say you get a ton more value out of the game than $10-15 and I wouldn't be hesitant to pay more. I personally spend hours per week playing games so the cost for that amount of entertainment isn't too bad.

Paying a high price and no subscription fee with REALLY cheap and small things that you can buy extra is the way to go.

The most I have ever paid for an MMORPG is $15/month. My husband also plays, so that jumps it to $30/month. Since having kids a few years ago though, we've decided to cut that option and focus primarily on games that are free to play. We loved SWTOR for a bit, but it's most definitely pay to win and we got bored with it. Eventually we decided it wasn't worth the money. We decided to give Rift another shot since it went f2p and have fallen in love with it. We can enjoy all the benefits of the game without having to pay a penny on it.

I wouldn't pay monthly. I think it's a rip off really. There are many great games that don't charge you a monthly fee. If anything, I would pay for some items inside the game. Everything depends on the value of the items. Why would I pay a monthly fee, when there are some really great games that are free?

I wouldn't pay anything more than $20/month. And that's only if it's a really good one.
