Metro: Last Light Bugs, problems and glitches

Screen darkening issues

So I have to say so far I love this game however I seem to be having a graphical issue that is pretty annoying.

Whenever i look at an object up close or in already darker environ, the screen suddenly goes even darker. then with a slight turn to looking a t a brighter lit area or farther away it brightens up again.

It gets so dark its unplayable at times.

I have a six core AMD processor 3.2+ ghz
660 TI with 2gb
12 gb of RAM

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It should be noted that this doesnt happen with my flashlight on. since it seems there is always light where im looking then.

Metro Last Light Executable has stopped working

Hey, when ever I try and launch the game I just get a ''The needs to be started in safe mode'' And if I press yes or no it brings me to a windowed blacked out box and it says Metro Last Light Executable has stopped working.
I have been trying to fix this for about 6 hours now and I am pretty pissed off at this point.
The thing is I got it working one time, I was super exited and I exited to game to turn on advanced PhyX and the game wouldnt open back up.
So I turn to the community for help I guess.

 

I have now played 10h on Ranger Hardcore, and I've had to restart the game about 5 times.
One bug/glitch I found was when I died during the first Nazi mission; I got discovered right as I died, also getting an autosave. The problem is that it made ALL the sounds disappear, also on the main menu. This happened everytime when I tried to load from that point, so I needed to restart the whole mission!
Then I have also discovered a few glitches; NPC's getting stuck, gliding, repeating the same action over and over again etc.

It's alright, nothing I cannot play with, but it's just... unecessary. :/

 

One bug that encountered 4-5 times (on Xbox 360) is that my controls/inventory would lock up, being unable to do anything but move and aim. Restarting from the last checkpoint fixes the problem, but was rather annoying have it happen throughout the game. =P

 

Pretty serious problem

I've recently completed Metro Last Light from start to finish on Ranger Hard Core mode and never received any of the associated achievements for such a task. I'm curious to see if anyone else in the community has some suggestions on how to fix the problem or have experienced yourself.

 

Stuck Audio Bug

Hi All,
I'm playing Last Light on a PS3 40Gb.

Shortly before meeting Andrew the Blacksmith, where you have to sneak past some guards, two audio clips have become permanently stuck on my save.

There is a particular room with a crane in it, after it started moving the audio permanently stuck along with a guard laughing.

I've tried quitting the game and rebooting the PS3, no joy.

Even though I've moved onto where you meet Andrew and get into the traincar, I now permanently have the sound of the crane, plus a guards voice "ha ha ha".

It's driving me crazy, anyone else seen any bugs like this? I don't think I can keep playing it now!

Welcome Tigernator! I am with the same issue - I saw your tweet about it aswell.

I have contacted deep silver technical support and am waiting for them to well..respond faster or figure it out.

I think I'm too late but you should stop using your time trying to fix it - the community doesn't help and I've tried well... let's just say I've learnt new things and I still havn't found a solution.

Myself, I have updated all drivers, re-installed all drivers, re-installed the game etc.

I have located the error which is 0xc0000005

This is an access violation error, which I am led to believe to be regarding memory (RAM), the file is trying to access RAM which it's not allowed too, doesn't exist or is corrupted.

I have tried playing around with the permissions for the game, that didn't work.

I ran multiple tests on my own RAM/Memory and it's clean with no problems, so it's not a hardware issue. RAM OR CPU RELATED, since the issue is isolated to this ONE program/game.

I have done a "clean boot" of windows to see if its conflicted with any software. It's not, it didn't work. It might be conflicted with system software or steam though.

Other people who I have talked to have reported the same error code, although there are no similarities in hardware.

I suspect that this is an issue with their coding and that it's likely we can only report the problem and wait and see if they release a patch fixing it. Or hell just figure out a solution for us.

If they figure out a solution and inform me I plan to make the solution available in the steam forums.

 

In the first part of the game, I was able to clip through the side of the moving train and got left behind in the ether as Anna rode away.

 

So far the only issues I've had are that twice I had massive framerate drop for about 10seconds and I find that the nosolise swing WAY to fast. They hit you about 4 times before you can turn around.

Has anyone managed to fix the stuttering yet???
I just got the game today and have terrible stutters every couple of seconds, with no frame drops. I see other people having the same problem on here and 5 pages worth on the single topic over on the nvidia forums.

I am running SLI GTX 680 Classified 4g plus 2600k@4.5ghz and 8 gig ram. I have tried everything I can think of including changing drivers, changing all graphic settings, disabling sli, turning off hyperthreading. Im getting a solid 80fps with very high and ssaa off . The only thing that slightly helped was capping frames at 30 but then the mouse lags alot and it still stutters.

Anyone now how to fix? or any word on a patch? its ruining the game

 

Loads to Console

Hey,

I was playing this game yesterday but when i booted it up today for some reason it now loads to console....

Any help would be great

 

All skins ingame like faces and hands they skins are like dragged down like melting .
All the characters in my game have a texture glitch, where all the textures look as if they're being pulled straight down. everything else in the game is perfectly just all the character models are freaking out. Anyone else have this problem? I've re-installed and played around with my video settings but nothing works. Could it just be my graphics card? Help? i got Dell inspiron core i3 Videocard : Intel HD 3000 it works really fine and the fps is fine and smooth just the texture prob

 

I play on xbox and sometimes the sound drops for a second or two.

IN the level when you're first given night vision goggles, they don't work. The animation to put them on works and I get a flicker of green but then the screen goes back to normal colour.

Was this game actually tested?

 

The only glitch I've encountered was getting stuck in walking/running animation. It disables aiming, shooting, item use, etc. I've had it happen probably 6+ times in different levels. The only way I've found to recover from it is to load the last checkpoint, which in some areas means being sent back a long way.

 

Did you check if you had any battery when you tried to use it?

That is more probably a problem with steam to be honest. ^^
