    Well i wasn't going to be playing with the HUD anyway so i'm too phased.

    Remember guys this is still in alpha. They are going to change it for sure. They just need some kind of place holder so they can work off. They need some kind of hud there so they can work off of that. The hud isn't that bad as long as they change it up a bit. Also I noticed that it showed the time you have under the filter icon on the right. If you have that whats the point of the watch?

    Perhaps it's the time left for that specific filter rather than your total time displayed on the watch, I don't know.

    Not the Alpha thing again. How long have they been in alpha? All gameplay footage before when it was in that stage specifically stated "Pre-Alpha code" in the gameplay.

    With the HUD and Pre-order crap I'm very, very disappointed with the game atm. :(

    I would be really worried if the game was still in the alpha stage of development with only about three months to release. I'm guessing it's a later beta build, but that doesn't mean that any of this can't be changed.

    Anyway, I agree with pretty much everything that has been said in this thread. The HUD for consoles (or PC with controller) is ugly, intrusive, immersion breaking and over-sized. I'm going to play the PC version with a mouse & keyboard (without the HUD) myself, but I don't want other people to have the experience spoiled.

    Also, it does indeed look like Artyom just smashes his filter into the face plate of the mask and the combat is way too fast compared to what it was like in Metro 2033. Unrealistic and much more CoD-like.

    I don't want Last Light to be more accessible. Metro has already gathered a cult following - don't try to ruin it for us, 4A Games; please don't.
