If you guys draft up a description for the page, title, and all of that jazz, I can and will create the group. I have to write a 20 page paper by Wednesday, so I'll be awake for a long ass time - which means I'll be able to spare ten minutes to create the group page.

EDIT: Also, whoever drafts the description make sure you mention that THQ is at fault, and not 4A Games... I feel like 4A Games are being press-ganged, and don't deserve the guerilla tactics we will use in the way that THQ deserves it.

If you were waiting for it for so long then weren't you going to buy it on day one? If so then how does it affect you?

The only way to show your opinion on the pre order bonus is to not buy the game or wait for the Steam sales and buy it cheaper (GOTY maybe) but not pirate it!!

The only thing you are showing by pirating it is that you want games for free. You're giving publishers ammunition for DRM, console exclusivity periods (and complete exclusivity)

Gaming is a privilege not a right!! Don't be like some of the thieves here and grow up and speak with your wallet!!

Pirating is perhaps one of the most ridiculous arguments ever, you're still playing the game and no doubt enjoying it , it effectively makes you a scumbag thief.

Remember pirates will use any excuse in the book for theft, claiming it's sending a message that they are not happy about X, Y, Z problem. It's just an excuse, 9 times out of ten they would pirate the game anyway.

    Be the bigger man!!

This brings my piss to a boil. Driving is a privilege. Gaming is a right.

The amount of people who pirate a game compared to the people who don't isn't even funny. You have 99% of people buy the game and less than 1% pirate it. Look at a seeded game on piratebay. A game from 6 years ago barely has any seeders and downloads. Trust.

Guys, let's not forget that THQ has been keeping us in contact with 4A via the "Questions" thread. You're taking what Von and Luster worked for and you're taking a gigantic shit on it.

Don't do anything rash, and if you're going to anyways don't fucking post about it in a public manner.

Thieving has nothing to do with growing up and/or being mature. I would also never advise someone to speak with their wallet, as money should under no circumstances have a voice in what we do and do not do.

But showing them that we won't buy it if we think it's exploitative is an excellent way to discourage this kind of behavior in the future. And, sad to say, money makes the world go round, like it or not. Money nearly always influences what people do.

I think it could be more useful to shitstorm THQ's Metro Official Page on facebook.....we might actually raise a point, people are not used to thinking....
Much of what is legal should be illegal, and much of what is illegal should be legal.

You think pirating a game is like "stealing" it? It's not like that to me.

What is Crime? There is no fix and universally valid definition: to me smashing a bank's window and setting the said bank on fire is not a crime.

I suggest you to not bring up any word associated with "Crime" in this thread, it's just useless to th thread and as i proved to you it is a veru personal topic for each of us.

Good point. Although I'm not sure how Facebook works but I'm guessing they have the ability to delete comments or even disable them, yes? If so, then expect them to silence us rather quickly... Still, raiding the THQ page is a good start. But I strongly suggest not posting insults but rather something along the lines of: "Until Metro: Last Light's Ranger Mode is available to anyone from the get-go, we will boycott all THQ products by simply not purchasing them and encourage others to follow suit."
Have others copy paste the exact same statement for maximum effectiveness.

Well I do hope that Joe reads this thread and the comments made by the "fans" (some members and moderators) who think Piracy is not stealing and are willing to illegally download Metro Last Light.

Why should THQ post in a forum where people are willing to steal their development studios hard work. It's a big kick in the teeth towards them and Joe if they continue to do contribute here.

Yup, of course. I was not planning on posting to their facebook page a series of pointless insults.

^That. My facebook account was closed by myself permanently for good reason, but I will seriously make a secondary anonymous account to part-take in this, if THQ's page is comment-able. That, and taking part in any possible group. I personally look at it as low-lifed to try to make a point in something grave via Facebook, but Facebook is indeed one of the best places to do it.

Don't you see the big picture, Majnu? This barely affects me at all. All it does is forcing me to pre-order, which I personally don't have a big problem with at all. But it's the whole concept in it. The fact that they actually force us to pre-order to get the difficulty which should originally be in the game already, or optionably buy the difficulty as an extra DLC or wait a couple of months or so until it is added to the game.

If THQ sees my message which says "I have the money to buy it, and I have the will to buy it", and knows that I have still pirated it, it will definitely not send the message "I don't want to pay money for it". That is absolutely not the case. Not wanting to pay money for the game has absolutely NOTHING to do with my reason for pirating the game in this situation. That subject belongs in an entirely different discussion, possibly about Pirating. We could go on and on with debating about wether pirating is wrong or not, but this is simply not the place for it, and you need to know that now.

If you ask me we shouldn't even let them speak. They knew what they were doing was bullshit and yet they still did it. If you ask me they should just cut the sequel.

What if someone can't afford something? What if they are extremely poor?

Then they should worry about things more important than video games.

I must totally absolutely completely determinedly and definitely agree with TheStalker that we need to be calm about this and don't throw insults at THQ.
That includes staying calm about the case. We are serious about this, and not only angry. Pirating will be my last and absolutely last resort, I can assure you.
