Now that I have properly viewed this vid on my pc I can honestly say I am impressed. The game looks great and I cant wait to play it.

Either he managed the recoil well or the recoil has been reduced on the bastard gun. That thing should jam and over heat like a bitch

At 2:17 you can see the mini gun and must say I'm quite with pleased with how it looks.

I've noticed over the multiple videos that Artyom is wearing quite a variety of suits. Suits with weird rings over his wrists in the swamp. What looks like a telogreika and long rubber gloves. A gray ranger jacket with brown gloves and from this most recent video no gloves at all. I wonder if that all means something, like a multitude of new suits!

I've noticed that silencer before in other videos and I must say I personally dislike the way it looks. It seems to be one wide silencer covering both barrels and it just looks weird to me.


Also it appears to be a stockless duplet, kinda like a metro style sawd-off shotgun. That I do like.

 

I believe this may to become more canon friendly with the books, because in the Metro 2033 novel, it says that if you were to go to the surface with any naked skin showing then it would suffer 3rd degree burns. It was something along the lines of that.

 

I don't like, in the trailer, how the person talks about the game as if he was a game reviewer. He talks about how the bots are intelligent and won't run into your line of fire, he says there's different strategies you can use.... It's as if they've taken the OOC talk (which there has been a lot of recently) and converted it into the IC. As if they've taken facts that it is a game and not the real world, and added those facts into the game's conciousness. I don't like that, really. It's a good trailer though

 

Supressors should not affect the recoil. Now I don't know if they do this in real life. But based on military shooters suppressors are as the name intends

"to supress" the sound in order to remain a silent killer.

Any attachment which should reduce recoil should only be a Heavy Barrel to counter the kick. Flash supressors and lazer attachments may increase stability when hip firing.

Also what I noticed that hip firing doesn't seem to penalise the player with increased bullet spread. Most of the video shows Arytom firing from the hip and still managing to get easy kills.

I'm actually starting to get worried now about gun play, where is the weapon balance? where is the random deviation, recoil and bullet spread as hip firing seems as easy as ADS?

The guns in Metro 2033 had distinct characteristics and qualities, I'm not getting that feeling from Last Light - All the weapons just look pretty and noob friendly.

 

wouldnt a noise from a silencer echo throught a tunnel due to the fact that some of the noise remains? also with the different suits could that mean there is a hazerd suit style gameplay?

 

I hope that there are new suits, that would be sweet!
