    IGN also seems to be hugely affected by hype. I know that Skyrim is gonna get near 10/10, even though they have nothing really unique or new, while other games (like Metro 2033) which have interesting twists, great story, and amazing gameplay elements all on a low budget will get crap like 6.9/10.

    Yep - as expected. :( But that's one of the things that makes games like Stalker and Metro so great; only people who look at them like something more than just games will appreciate them fully. While I bet Skyrim will be amazing, I doubt that it will be able to beat Metro 2033 for me... I say this as a HUGE fan of The Elder Scrolls series.
