Metro Roleplay part 2

Sometimes we have to have a laugh

 

Seeing roach being squished by this bitch i gave it a push to the side in order for him to get out, then i saw his arm, it was riped to shreds, "Damn, man you surely had a great dance with this bitch, and you took it out by urself u greedy roach...withough me, common man this would of been so fun, now enough with the bad jokes can you walk?

 

"well considering the look of that leg, I would say no, but what the hell i'l give it a try!" I said and slowly stood up. As soon as I stood up I tumbled back down, " Fuck! that hurt!" I winced in pain.

 

"God now we got two people down, allright roach ill carry you back to the other" after that i picked up roach and slowly went to the others, they where standing next to Boris, his bleeding stopped and was still alive, but not for long, i do not know if he bleedes internaly, lets just hope he doesnt.
I put down roach next to this wall and took out my last clean rag and wrapped it around his arm and gave him a small shot of morphine to ease the pain, looking around i saw two staright looking planks, i grabbed them and put them on each side of his fractured leg and tied them toghether with some thin rope i had left, "Roach take my rifle and guard our back while i see if Boris is still alive, here take this silencer and attach it to it, its piece of cake and here are some extra cartriges make em count, i cant move you or Boris from this position your in no shape to be moved", looking back to steven and bejamin i said "Guys, i dont think Boris is going to make it if i dont go to the Nazi main outpost, they have a doctor there and i i can "convince" him to take care of Boris and Roach maybe we got a chance after all, but we will have to send Boris back to University, he will need to recover, you two need to stay here and protect Boris and Roach while i go there, salvage anything you can from the dead nazi outpost downstairs and bunker up here, one last thing." going to benjamin i asked "Can i have your P90 it will be usefull in close quarters and i have a silencer for it in my bag?"

 

I had Boris propped in the corner, so that the blood wouldn't flow to his head any more quickly than I could help. The rag I had clamped to his neck was sopping wet, and his eyes were unseeing. "Boris, you're wounded, but Vlad is going to get help. Don't try to talk or move, just hold on!" I nodded to Vlad, I would protect Boris with my life, just as I had promised. I didn't care if he had fooled us with the last mission, didn't care about anything other than that he was one of my few friends. I felt that I had become stronger in the last few weeks, that now I was finally able to protect people.

I crouched down next to Boris, and readied myself for anything. Anything.

 

propping the rifle on a turned over book shelf I go myself ready. Two injured, phhh easy librarian prey. I coughed up some blood. "that aint right." I said to myself, I turned to Steven, "he'll be ok, I'v seen people come back from worse boris is a strong man but you need to keep it together, because you wont survive long in the library if you haven't got a strong mind. librarians feed of the fear that you give out makes them stronger. so pull yourself together!" I said to him, I then coughed up some more blood.

 

I wondered over Roach's words. I could say that I had a strong mind, but I was still filled with this un-direct fear somewhere inside of me that made me believe that we were not going to make it out of here. "Vladimir... Would it really be clever to do this? Of course it would salvage our friends' lives, but I would say that it would be better to let them die to give us a chance than to have the nazis kill us all". I could not believe my words. I felt like a traitor, so I kept talking. "But I will rather hope for success or death than suffering; Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees". I unhooked the P90 from the side of my backpack and handed the weapon to him, along with an extra magazine that fitted it. "Strap your sharpened sword around your leg, and go out there in dignity and honor, for justice and humanity" I preached passionately as he recieved the P90 and the extra magazine. "We cannot wait for you forever if you do not achieve your mission, Vladimir. What may be the appropriate time to wait for your arrival before moving on ourselves?" I asked.

 

I looked at Boris. The blood was pouring less due to the cloth, and the wound was not as bad as I had thought, but he needed medical attention within half an hour, at the most. "Vlad, no more than 5 minutes. After that, I'm taking him back to University". I looked at them. "I'm not letting him die, so five minutes, now go!" I didn't often order people, but when I did, I took no sh*t.

 

I looked over at Boris. And that moment was when I first really reacted. His eyes were staring up at the roof. He was laying there in a stiff position with a bloody rag around his throat. I had not known him for more than a few days, but it felt like I had known him for many weeks. And at that moment, it really depressed me to see him there on his lay of death.

 

I coughed up a bit more blood, the rag around my shredded arm was dripping with blood. My vision was blurring, the edges of my vision became shrouded in darkness. I was losing to much blood. I dropped out of consciousness.

 

I saw Roach crumple down to the ground, unconscious. "Vlad, if you're gonna go, go now" I said, moving Roach next to Boris and putting him in the "safe" position someone had taught me years ago. Funny how things like that stayed in my memory, while I couldn't even remember what my mother's face looked like, or if my father had died when I was a child, or if I had brothers and sisters... I lifted my kalash and took position.

I took benjamins P90 and told him "Me and my squad used to have a saying, no man is left behind, remember that, i would rather die than leave my friends to rot." I looked back at Roach, he was still bleading and gone unconcious, steven lifted him and put him next to Boris after which i grabed the M4A1 and thrown it to benjamin, grabing the P90 with an iron determination to save my friends I said, "Take care of em, i dont whanna see em in a coffin, we still have much to do, ill be back in 5" then i left, hoping that i will find help in the nazi outpost i ran as fast as i could, walked through the war-torn Moskow past the old rusted cars and through the ruins of a once playground for children I got wrapped in memories "Me and my friends playing on the green grass of old Moskow but i snapped out of it, this city has lost its grateness when we became greedy over power, this is our curse and our punishment which we must endure. I was close to the nazi outpost, 1 minute has passed since i left the squad and i was full of doubt and planning on how i will enter the outpost, it was an old hospital riddled with sandbags and mounted machine guns, i need to be very carefull about this, i remembered that each hospital had a roof hatch that opened in case of an emergency, maybe i can go through there.
Thinking on how i can get to the roof i saw that there are a few building close to the hospital, maybe i can jump from one of em to the roof, they dont seem well guarded so i wont be in much trouble. I went as fast as i could withough giving off any sound, as soon as i got near this half destroyed building i saw a guard next to the door, i grabbed one of my knives and threw it right through the guys neck killing him instantly, walking up to him i took it out and proceeded into the building, nothing interesting inside, chairs, tables, beds anything you could be living with in a normal life, i need to get to the roof so i took the stairs up, some of the steps where missing but it was not big of a deal i could still get up. I walked slowly the last few steps since i heard a conversation, i popped my head up the end of the stairs and i saw two soldiers talking, grabbing my silenced P90 i took out both of them in a flash and proceded to the edge of the building too see what im going to be up against.
The roof was desolated, nobody would think that someone will attempt such a stunt, but i was determined, it was going to be a long jump and i will need to run as fast as i possibly could, walking back to the opposite side of the room i clenched my teeth and my fists and i ran for it, i jumped at the last moment and in the air memories of my friends flashed through my mind, i guess somekind of relaxining moments in case i miss the jump, let's just hope not.
I was close to the other side but i didnt jump far enough and with some of the force i still had i grabbed the edge of the building with one hand so i reacted and grabbed it with the other pulling myself to safety.#
Damn this was nice, lots of stuff here and steven i dont think i can make it in 5 minutes :/

 

Roach i think he was refering to me xD

 

I meant that my character (Steven) seemed to be picking on Vlad, and just wanted to say nothing personal. Oh, and 5 minutes should be fine, but you will have more time, don't worry.

I tried to revive Roach, and adjusted the bandage on his arm. His eyes opened behind the lens of his gasmask. "Ah, Roach, good to see you", I said. "I fear we will have problems in the very near future, and having you by my side to help would be most appreciated". I heard a strange thump somewhere in the depths of the library. I suddenly had a vivid memory of someone saying "The librarians don't like loud noises". What did that mean? Librarians before the nuclear war? Or the creatures of which vague stories were told around dim campfires, the massive beasts who "protected" the library?

There was another thump. I pulled the unhinged door across the doorway, a thin, useless barrier against whatever was coming for us. I prayed that Vlad and Benjamin would do what they had to quickly before... I saw a shadow move, a darker blur in the dim greyness. I glanced at Boris and Roach, and lifted my kalash.

 

As Vlad threw the long powerful and masculine rifle to me, I catched it carefully and studied it. A marvellous weapon which I had never seen. It seemed pwerful. Five minutes later, Roach woke up. "I am aware that five minutes have passed, but we will have to offer this savior some more time in order for our salvation" I spoke. Then a sound was heard twice from the hallways. Steven was the one to notice it. As already mentioned, he seemed to be the one noticing the most. He was aiming at the door. At first, I did so aswell, but then I slowly and silently pulled out my sword and walked over to the wall next to the door, ready to slash anything entering. Our rifles would not do much harm within time of it reaching to us. Not even the M4A1.

 

I found myself on this desolate roof, only dust covered it but i was happy that people cant see me, looking around trying to find the hatch i noticed a small bump in the roof, it was there, walking towards it i noticed that it had rusted alot, barely able to hold itself so i took out my P90 held the handle, which was not the greatest ideea in my life if it was heavy it will practicly drag me with it but fortunetly it wasnt, i shoot the hinges and pulled it up leaving it on the roof.
There was no ladder, must have rusted in such a way that it fell, so i jumped through the hatch down on the ground, i noticed the hospital was in much better shape than the usual buildings, clean and somehwat hygenenic i walked slowly on the side of this corridor to find the stairs. There arent any Nazis here they realy seem to think that nobody would attempt what i just did but nontheless it much better than what i usualy get. I'm close to the stairway and i stared hearing conversations, german language if im right but i also heard russian, maybe they have prisoners.
I slowly walked down the stairs, they where covered by a wall so i got lucky and looking from this crack, large enough to put your head through, i noticed 5 men, 2 where armed guards the other 3 most likely Red's or possibly rangers where handcouffed prisoners. Unfortunetly there was no way pass them so i had to shoot them, pointing my gun through the crack and pointing to one of the guards i shot him in the neck, he was wearing a helmet and could possibly be deflected, and the other in the head, since he wore no helmet. The 3 prisoners where realaxed didnt flinch when i shot them, so yeah they are rangers. I walked out of the shadows and one of them was looking at me "Spasibo Ranger, you've come at the perfect moment, these scums where going to execute us" he said which i replyed back "Net problem brother but i'm no ranger i dispise them, but this is no time to be picky i'm on a mission to save my friends but i need to find the Nazi doctor that is stationed here."

 

(Sorry Skaara, thought you had gone with Vlad. That's why I never mentioned you! )

Benjamin seemed to know what he was doing, a form of reliability which I had admired from our first mission. I covered his back, as well as the one other entrance to the room (which was half destroyed or blocked anyway). I would stay in the room, though, since leav8ing two wounded men alone was practically murder. I gave a thumbs-up to Roach, kind of a "no-worries" signal.

(Btw, what time of day is it?)

 

The 3 Rangers formed a small circle discussing what they should o then one of them turned to me "We will help you capture this doctor but you need to help us blow this hospital up, its swarming with nazis" shifting through my options seemed that i didnt had a choice "Allright, whats the plan" , "We brought some explosives with us they should be over there on that wall, we need to place it in the middle of the hospital on the main support column that should bring the whole place down, i is located on the first floor where your doctor is, you will have 3 minutes to get out after we set the fuse, feeling like running?", "Ready for anything" i said "Good then lets get started, yoou can grab the explosive but be carefull with it its not stable, common we will cover you" after that they grabed theyr weapons and started moving forward down the stairs and into the 2nd floor, we had to go loud which we did, i detached the silencer and we started shooting everyone we saw, one by one the Nazis fell on the ground we had the element of surpise and we used it as much as we could.
We got to the first floor where the doctor was, he tried to grab his pistol but i rushed him and disabled him fast before he could shoot us, "What do you whant from me?" he said "Your going to come with me and help my friends", "I guess i dont have a choice, do i?, "Nope", "Allright ill come" i then set the explosive next to the support column and set the fuse, looking back the rangers where gone so me and the doctor ran as fast as we could through the exit, all the nazis where dead, but i didnt hear any shooting, what just happened but i had no time to think i had to run

 

ICly...? I never even thought of that. Does it really matter? ... Since the skies blocks out all sunlight anyway..

Some growling and tense, heavy breathing was eventually heard outside the door. Some sort of sniffing. Steven looked readier than ever as he pointed his weapon at the door. Roach and Boris were placed on each their old dusty couch in the other side of the room. Then it happened. The door was powerfully kicked open, but unfortunately not hard enough for it to fly off of the wall, so it swung at me and pushed me against the wall. It did not do much harm to me, but it confused me enough to make me un-able to do a surprise strike. I looked carefully around the door.

There it was. A huge, muscular beast with the ugliest face I had seen. It was staring at Steven in a tense way, who surprisingly enough was staring back at it in a presumably controlled way without shooting. But there wasn't much we could do. We were trapped in the room, and the librarian would proabably not be backing away. Then it growled angrily and took a couple of steps forwards in a threatening way. I stepped out from between the door and the wall, then it turned over to me and growled at me. Its eyes frightened me. It gave me a hopeless feeling of cold starting in my head, then going down all the way through my body. I could not focuse.

I should have stabbed it, but I was foolish enough to lift my katana and slash over its shoulder. The beast was way too thick and robust for the sword to penetrate it enough. It swung its arm at me and sent me flying across the room untill I hit the wall with my back and fell down on my side, almost losing my breath. I was glad that the katana landed close to me, but I needed a few secounds to recover. I could barely breathe. I just hoped that Steven could hold it off, or even better, finish it..
