Wow, Skaara, you got de moves and de words! :p Pretty epic stuff there, man! Meanwhile, I'm chomping on my pork, waiting for Chris to speak. I guess Wolf was a little more hurt than I thought, and Boris... heck, are you gonna live through all that?! Ha ha ha! :) This roleplay is excellent.

Once again, I had regained consciousness. This time there were no people around me and I was lying on some kind of mattress. I stood up and, although I had complete control over it, I could not feel most parts of my body. I slapped myself on the cheek as hard as I could... nothing. No instant dosage of pain, no "burning" feeling followed. They must have used very strong medicine. There was an old, dirty, body-sized mirror standing in the tent that I was located in. It was in bad shape, but somehow, the glass itself was almost fully intact. I stood up, walked over to the large mirror and gazed into it. My face was very pale, my right eye was bloodshot but looked like it was recovering and there was a wound starting at a section of my lower lip & running down my chin. There was a bandage around my neck. I was in my trousers and boots, the rest of my clothing & equipment lay in a bag next to the mattress. My torso had many new, stitched scars all around it and there was a large, wide & quite thick layer of fresh bandage running around my abdomen. My arms were also quite scarred, though thankfully all of the wounds were tended to with experienced medical attention & care. There were some bandages around my left elbow and right forearm as well. It seemed that the hellish beast got me pretty damn bad. Well, at least I was clean again - the doctors must have tended to the blood stains as well. I lifted my right arm and sniffed it; there was a strong scent of alcohol substances, probably what was used to disinfect my wounds.

As soon as I finished staring at the changes to my health in the mirror, I walked back to the mattress, lifted the bag and got all of my stuff out of it. I got dressed quickly and donned my backpack over my leather coat. It was quite cold here, so I ignited my lighter for a few seconds and waved my hands around it so the stiffness in the fingers would pass. Stiffness… yes, the medicine was finally starting to wear off. I smiled to myself (it was very weird not being able to feel what you’re standing on and I was glad this strange experience would soon pass, as it seemed). Once I was ready to leave the tent and everything was packed, I noticed a small note attached to the top surface of an empty oil barrel near the exit flap. I picked it up and looked at it; it read: “You were badly injured when we received your unconscious body. If those men had brought you to us any later, we would not have been able to save you. I won’t give you the details of your injuries, all you need to know is that all the wounds have been tended to properly and all the bleeding and infections were dealt with. Your bones remain mostly intact and you should be able to walk with little difficulty. I recommend not using your muscles too much for a few days if you want recover quickly. We had to use large dosages of strong medicine on you to stop the pain, but the feeling should wear off in an hour or so after you wake up. Your companions paid for the operation and you seem to have all the right documents, so you are free to wander around the station for as long as you like.”

It was good to know that I could depend on my allies and now, after they had saved my life, I was certain that I could trust them. They not only carried my injured body all the way to the station, but also paid the doctors to operate on me and Boris. I took the note with me and left the medical tent for guest patients. The station was in pretty bad shape, but nothing very unusual to what is going on around the whole metro. There were beggars everywhere. I asked around a little about where I was, just to make sure we made it to our destination. Then I found out about the guest tent. I started walking to my desired location; carefully following the directions I was given. On the way, I had started feeling pain all over my body in various sections and could almost fully feel my feet. Once I finally found the guest tent, I entered it and found Boris sleeping there. I looked around and there was one more mattress that wasn’t occupied by anyone. I took my backpack off and dropped it safely near the mattress. I grabbed a bite of a chocolate bar I had found god knows how long ago, sipped some vodka from my flask and then went to sleep.

I woke up at around 3 am and couldnt fall back asleep. I got up and decided to walk around a little. I began to walk around the station and explore a little and found that everybody was asleep. There were some people sitting in the corners and whispering to each other while others sat quietly by them selves. It was colder than usual and even darker. The dust was still very unpleasent. I walked to the end of the station and noticed weird somewhat disturbing sounds coming from the south western tunnel that went to Park Pobedy. I decided not to venture in there, although it was considered safe. I turned around and went back to the guest tent and lay in the bed. I didnt fall asleep right away but got the chance to think about my mission that i was supposed to accomplish. Then i fell into a deep and dreamless sleep.

Did Chris just ask me what I had been up to? Well, I guess he didn't know how we travelled through the tunnels fighting nosalises, then the attack of the Demon, and the final mad rush to this station. "Well", I answered to his question, "Just stuff. We went through the Hansa, they have a train running there. Then one of my allies was attacked by a demon." I kept my voice casual, then laughed at the expression on Chris' face. "Ha ha, hey, we managed to get through okay! Speaking of which, I'm going to check on Boris and Wolf. They saved my hide back in the tunnels, and I want to make sure they're okay." I bought a bottle of vodka from the bar, and sighed at my nearly empty bag. Bullets had a way of disappearing quickly when you bought stuff...

"Hey, Benjamin, don't wander off, there might be some... well, unfriendlies around". He didn't laugh, I couldn't figure out why...

Oh, sorry! I meant Benjamin. :) I fixed it.

I walked back toward the hospital, taking my time, but feeling on edge, because everyone here was just so... tense. Sure, I had heard some vague stories about people disappearing, but now when I was faced with the reality, it was hard not to feel some kind of fear, some real element of terror.

For some reason i kept on waking up from time to time and couldnt get a good nights sleep. It was around 4 am and only one of my comrades was in the guest tent. i wondered were benjamin and the others were. It was really cold and dark and my arm hurt from the injury. It was a really wierd experience. waking up falling asleep waking up falling asleep waking up falling asleep. and this happened many times during the long and miserable night. I got up and decided that there was no point in sleeping, i already got 4 hours of sleep anyway. I got up and walked around the station, again. At this point there was only a faint fire in a corner of the station and there was a group of a few people there. i decided not to come to them, maybe it was benjamin? Maybe it was someone else? I went to a bench and sat on it. Doing nothing. Wierd sounds were coming from the south western tunnel. Like a cry or something. I didnt venture in there. I sat there. Bored. And yet again decided to go to the guest tent, however i could find it. I gave up my efforts and walked to the other side of the station. I decided to join the people at the fire. I sat next to them but they didnt look at me . I tapped a man on his shoulder and as he turned around i was shocked with what i saw. His face was gone, and instead of it there was a face of a Demon. I jumped back as he pounded me against the floor and began to feast on my leg. I yelled as i was eaten alive. I tried to punch the wierd creature back but couldnt force my hands to move..........i was gonna die.....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I woke up, it was 4 am. "Holy crap!" i laughed. my heart was pounding. I lay on my bed and laughed a little more until i fell asleep. What a crazy night!

Okay, RedJacketMan, (your name was Michael, right?), we're at the station where the kids disappear (don't know the name...). Boris and Mike (two new characters) are in hospital, and I guess you can just "turn up" or something. :) Good to have you back!

Boris seemed to be sleeping fitfully, and sometime in the early morning started laughing. I couldn't really sleep either, this station felt wrong in so many ways. The air was still, yet it seemed a cold wind blew through the station, and the darkness seemed to be darker than it should be. I picked up my Kalash (it was around 4:30 now), and went for a "stroll".

There was no-one around, and it was almost completely silent, just a faint indistinguishable sound of many people breathing, turning in their sleep, and one or two snores. I sat on the edge of the platform, near one of the tunnel entrances. They had a guard post set up a few hundred meters down there, but I couldn't see the firelight. And I couldn't hear the men who were there either. But the tunnel probably curved, or something. "Yeah, stop freaking yourself out," I whispered. Suddenly I began remembering the long days I had wandered witless in the tunnels, and I saw a mutant creeping through the darkness before me, howling insanely, glaring at me. I pulled the trigger on my kalash, blasting it away. I was screaming, and the gunfire was deafening. My clip emptied out in a stream of lead, and I was too frightened to reload.

There was nothing there. Nothing. No mutant body, no nightmares from the tunnel. Just a brick wall pocked with bullet holes. Someone was looking out of a tent, a shotgun in hand, and lights were going on all around. "Oh damn, how in hell am I going to explain this..." I just stood there, waiting.

Crap, what was that, I thought. When I jumped up and looked into the tunnel I was shocked to see Steven with his smoking rifle in hand. I was afraid there was an attack, and I grabbed my revolver and ammo and headed out to him. "What was that about?"

    Thanks for the update!!!

Also, there is Benjamin (Skaara), and GhostWarrior (you know him, Chris). We had a few more, but they disappeared somewhere along the line. :)

I looked at the man. It looked like Michael, the man I had met in Riga Station. Then again, I had just pumped an entire mag of Kalash ammunition into a brick wall because I thought it was a mutant. "Sh*t, Michael, is that you? Damn, my mind is going... I keep seeing things... things from the tunnels." I collapsed against the wall, feeling the cold brick against my skin. Michael managed to wave the station people back to their tents. I felt gratitude.

I was having a disrupting conversation with the chubby man behind the bar. He made me aware that strange things were seen in this area, but had no real explanation. Anything from the smallest rat to demons and hovering blue balls of electricity. The sudden sound of a whole magazine being emptied was heard in the distance. I turned my head slowly in the direction of it before I looked back at the bartender. He did not seem to take much notice of it. "There's an example for ya" he said with his rusty voice and alcoholic breath before he rubbed his stubby beard. I lifted my eyebrows to myself, in wonder, as I took another sip from the vodka I had ordered a few minutes ago. He leant against the counter, putting his filthy face quite close to mine and said with a whispering tone "Rumours has it, that people have disappeared from this area, gone missing, and never came back. It also seems that there are the children that easiest disappear, that's why you rarely see any kids around here". "So I noticed" I said, not leaning away from him. "Or maybe it's just the boose" he all of a sudden said loudly and laughed. "Either way, I'm making money on it, so who cares, eh?" he said happily. I didn't answer. Just gave him a short look and finished my Vodka. I cautiously placed the empty glass on the counter. "Another round?" the bartender asked. "No, but thank you, for I have had enough" I answered. "And have you.. witnessed such phenomenons yourself?" I asked slowly and silently, almost feeling like a detective. "No" he answered shortly. "I think I'd bail out of here as soon as possible if I ever ended up like all these people here" he said with a dark tone in his voice. "Well, let us pray that you do not, for thou seem to be the most valuable flicker of light in this dark tunnel" I told him and sendt him a short smile as well as a nod. He smiled automaticly, seemingly liking what he was hearing. "Well, this isn't really a tunnel" he said after he hid away the smile. "It was metaphorically meant, my friend" I said. "Oh," he said nervously. "I knew that". He picked up my empty glass and took it to the back. Suddenly something struck me. My eyes were shut open. The lights turned brighter and the room became yellow-ish. I could clearly feel the blood rush through my every veins like pure, cold water. I automaticly straightened up, leaning my arms off of the counter. And all of this happened all in once in something feeling like less than a secound. It was like nothing I had ever experienced; it refreshed my mind and woke me up from my half-sleep. I looked around in the room. No one were there except one person. A child, standing over by the entrance of a hallway. I frowned, thinking about what a kid would be doing here alone at this time of day. The kid was looking at me, but saw something behind me before he ran into the hallway. I turned my head around and looked at the bartender coming back out. "Have me excused" I said after thinking for a couple of secounds. I walked into the hallway, almost crashing my head at the ceiling. The hallway ended up in a tunnel. Nothing else. Steven was standing there, conversing with yet another stranger. They both looked strangely at me. Steven nodded at me. "What are you doing out here?" he asked curiously. "Searching for someone.. or something" I said. The last part of the sentence was mostly to myself in realization. "Nothing here except us" Steven said confirmingly. "Understood" I said and nodded to him before I finally got myself together. "You did not happen to see someone running through here?" I asked.

"No", I said, but I didn't feel certain. Something weird was happening at this station. I decided to answer more fully. "Well, I don't think so, anyway. This station is cursed. Something very strange is going on." I took the bottle of vodka from my bag and downed a mouthful. "Yeah, something is definitely wrong here".

Cursed thou say?" I asked, acting surprised. "There are the scientistic human beings attempting to create logical natural explanations for happenings like these. Then there are the believing souls attempting to prove the truth beyond our mind. For the moment, I do not know my standing place, but either way what is happening, it cannot be good; Just take a look around ourselves. Either way if it is radioactive excrements that are causing the hallucinations in our minds, or if there really still is something beyond what we have knowledge about, it still cannot be good for our mentality. We must leave as soon as everyone are ready and packed up, or we might stay here forever, trapped in this darkness with every other suffering soul" I preached.
    "I am ready. Are you?"

Much like everyone else in the station, I had woken up to the sound of sudden gunshots. It was Boris who had gotten up the soonest and immediately ran out of the tent, his weapon loaded; ready for the unexpected. Yet only around three seconds later, just when I was about to leave the tent, he returned and reassured me that it was nothing. I believed him & nodded, but I had had enough time to rest anyway - so I made my way out of the tent and into a tunnel. My mind was empty; I needed time to think everything over. On the way to the exit of the station, I saw Steven and Michael conversing with each other. They asked me if I was leaving without them, to which I replied: "No, I'm just going for a walk... I'll be back soon." I went forward a few steps until I remembered something. I stopped, turned around and walked back to my Comrades. I turned to Steven and spoke: "Hey, I heard it was you who carried me to the station. Thanks man, you saved my life. I don't really know how I can pay you back; there are not enough bullets in the whole metro to pay for any man's life... no matter how twisted his soul may be. But I can promise you this: on our journey ahead to stop the fascists, I will stand by you and the others in the group like a brother and I will give my life, if need be, to continue with the mission." Steven gave a friendly smile and nodded. I told them I'd see them soon and walked back into the tunnel... darkness stretching before me.

My eyes opened and I was staring at my feet; they were moving in a slow and steady pace. It took me a few seconds to realize that I had walked further into the tunnel for quite a while now and I must have gotten lost in my thoughts, lost track of time and wandered off. I looked up and what stood before me had caused me to stop. There was a tall, thin and unfamiliar figure ten metres or so before me. My flashlight was (for some reason) turned off. Yet I could see the figure very clearly because it gave off a bright, striking glow around its outline that penetrated the pupil instantly. It was standing on two legs, yet it was not human for sure. It resembled something more like a very thin gorilla or one of those aliens that were popular in the movies before the blast. Suddenly, it held its arm in front of itself, with its hand open and four, long fingers stretched out.

Some very strange and inaudible sounds began their invasion of my ear drums. They sounded like numerous whispers, blended together to form one, non-human language. The sound itself was quite soothing and relieved me of a lot of stress I had felt the rush of when I had first spotted the figure. However, the impossibility of this event being real made me feel uneasy again. This unknown creature was trying to contact me for sure... but what was it trying to say? I began moving towards it, slowly - as to not show any signs of aggression. It kept repeating the same sequence of inaudible sounds, as if it was welcoming me. But at one point during the time when I was quite close to it, the being looked behind & then returned its gaze back to me, giving off an ear-piercing shriek; as if it changed its mind and warned me to turn back as soon as possible. The arm was now in front of my face, outstretched and the palm now fully visible. I was obviously being commanded to stop now and so I did.

Out of nowhere, the beast disappeared and the warnings ceased. Now I was running back in the direction of the station as fast as my legs could carry me. The sound of multiple beasts heading this way gave me enough of a scare to turn away. If not for the outpost on the two-hundredth metre from the station, I would not have survived. They must have already heard the roars of mutants that were now getting closer & closer, as they were already prepared with the mounted machine-gun fully loaded and their rifles at the ready. One of the guards grabbed my hand as soon as I was close enough for him to reach me and, with a very strong grip; he literally threw me behind them. Then the shooting had begun.

I was disoriented by the loud fire and sudden movements; I was also out of breath from the sprinting; but I quickly came back to my senses. The outpost was also equipped with a flamethrower, but for some reason nobody was using it. I quickly ran to it and helped out the others when the beasts were getting too close. Soon there was nothing but the bloody remains of what once was a horde of running monstrosities. After I had exchanged thanks and handshakes with the brave men & women of the outpost, I resumed my journey back to the station - this time with confidence and a smile on my face, still wondering how lucky I was to escape death for a fourth time in the last five days. However, I was still wondering whether the mysterious creature was inviting me and then changed its mind, turning hostile. Or maybe it was warning me from the beginning and if it wasn't for its commands, I would not have made it back in time. Who knows, but one thing was for sure... I had just experienced something extraordinary and escaped the cold embrace of death once again, so it was time to make it back to the bar and drink over it.

Sitting in the bar, I heard that there had been a mutant horde somewhere in the tunnels. Wolf had apparently fought alongside the guards, after he had talked to me. I went up to him, where he sat with Boris. "So, you're badly wounded, yet you still fight like a warrior! To have you fighting by my side like a brother is an honor!" I clapped him on the back, then sat back down, waiting for Benjamin and Chris to complete the group. Then we would all move out.

    And complete our mission.

Okay, so we all ready to move out? Skaara seems ready, and so am I. :)
