I thought a little. "The Nazis are doing such treatment for a bad cause. We, though, are doing these deeds for the love of a good cause. But then again, good or bad is not something decided. It depends from whom's eyes it is seen; In their eyes, we are doing this for a bad cause. A wise man once said 'Oneself is another man's joysmith' ". I shook my head, realizing that I was this was not a good time for preaching. "What I am attempting to say is that one has a moraled mind if one uses more time to get the information in a peaceful way, rather than to do it the 'fast and easy' way" I said fast, but calmly.
Again, Von, It's not Skaara :p

I looked at the other one for a second and then said, "WELL, time to go.." as i left into the tunnel. Wolf looked at me with a surprising look. "Someone take care of the other one," i said with a anrgy look on my face.

Oh, not again. Sorry, changed it. :p

I sat in the tunnel, listening. Yeah, true, they were aiding a bad cause, so they kinda were the enemy. Plus, it was war. I guess I was still green, never really had to fight for my life until one week ago. Now I saw that ruthlessness and battle changed the way you thought, and sometimes things happened which weren't nice, but were necessary. I just stayed on guard, nevertheless.

Then they all came out. I followed Boris as he walked.

As Wolf left the room, following Boris, I turned to the Nazi that still was at conciousness. I took a specific, firm and very hard grip around a spot on his neck, held my fingers gripped there tightly for ten seconds, paralyzing him, before he fell unconcious aswell. I walked for the door, and just before I left the room, I turned to the two unconcious nazis. "Don't go anywhere, huh?" I said and laughed, though nobody else than I heard it. I catched up with the others soon enough, and off we were.

We were walking in complete silence for a couple of minutes until we reached the station. unlike the other stations there were no guards. We climbed onto the platform and i announced that it was best to refuel here before we set out onto the surface.

BTW is Roach still with us? Cause we need his sniper for this next scene.

I was still unnerved by Boris's "interogation," staring at the revolver I took from the Nazi. "Good idea, about the refuling." I walked off to buy some filters, and brought them back. I don't know if it would even work, but we can't let these Nazi's plan get underway."

Although I despised the Nazis and their ideas, I was still a little soft on the inside during interrogations. However, no one ever knew, since I could always keep a serious look on my face even when someone was beaten to death in front of me. I've done interrogations before - with the Crimson Pack; but once you see the victim and they start begging for life, it gets worse each time.

I tend to justify my murderous deeds by saying that there is no good or evil, just different shades of grey... and Nazism was the darkest of them all. After all, the very idea of Nazism revolves around thinking that you are superior to those who do not belong to your race and that they should be exterminated. This type of thinking was unacceptable to me back then, still is and always will be. Yet it is true that not all of them had a choice and some are just siding with the stronger group, in order to survive or earn more bullets to buy food & medicine for their families. Still, everyone has a choice. In a way, those who sided with Nazis in order to increase their chances of survival where weak - unable to resist and picked the greater evil.

But they were still humans... and that was the difficult part when deciding whether to go for the kill or not. When you are attacked by a division of Nazi skinheads, your instincts do the work for you. There is no morality involved and self-defence can almost always be justified. However, it was a completely different matter when someone was attacking Nazi camps, ambushing their patrols and always the first one to fire like I was. For me, they were like an incurable disease, spreading through the metro like a bloody infection and slaughtering those who were not deemed Slavic enough... this disease had to be destroyed. When I was younger, I also often imagined myself and my comrades as knights in shining armour, slaying the barbarians and bandits so that they would not prey on the weak who could not fight back.

However, we were still murderers... and I still am. In a way, we are not so different from them. We are also exterminating members of a selected group, just as they are. Though there always will be one difference: we are doing it so that they can't. It's like fighting fire with fire, but we are fighting murder with murder.

Thanks for the notice. I edited my last post.
While everyone else was getting ready, I went off to find my contact. Since we left Riga, I was waiting until we got to a Hanza station, where I could give my package to one of my emplyer's associates. I recognized him in the corner of a bar, and gave him my package. In return he gave my my payment. Naturally, as soon as I had my payment, I went to the shops to see if there was anything interesting. The man at the weapon shop was an old man, maybe in his seventies, but had a strong look to him. Among the usual array of homemade weapons, I found an old Mosin Nagant. I decided I could use a weapon besides my revolvers that had more punch over a distant, so I bought it from the man, along with some ammo. I came back to my comrades and said, "I'm covered," and took a moment to sit back and relax.

I sat down at the table, since I was all set to go. I drank some 'shroom tea to pass the time, and smoked in between cups. I felt that there would be death ahead, but we were doing a good thing for the Metro, and so if death was the price, so be it. I watched the smoke rising from my cigarette, wondered if any f us would make it through, wondered if any of us would die behind enemy lines and just disappear, gone from this world with no one to remember us. I pulled out my Kalash and did a double-check on the mechanisms. If we were going to die, I thought, then we wouldn't die easy.

Ghostwarrior (Chris) is still with us, too. We can always use Roach, just make up the story for his part? :)

I did not have many bullets left for my weapon. Neither did I have that many cartridges. Knowing that the posibility of our death being around the corner, I used alot of bullets on ammunition, filters and medkits. As I walked past a bar, I could not help it to notice a bottle. Standing there, proudly for itself in its own shelf. I recognized it. It was a Laphroaig. It felt like my mind and soul flew back in time and landed at the very moment that I and my comrades had made it down to the Metro, from the burning plane wreckage. I, Sung and Kimii were sitting around the table when Kimii slung off her bag and brought out a bottle that made me shiver by just looking at it. "Time for some celebration" she said in Japanese and filled our cups to the edge. All my life I had been taught not to get emotionally attracted to people, but after spending so many years with Kimii, it was impossible to not get feelings for her. "For survival" Sung said, in bad Russian, and we all emptied our cups with bottoms up.

I brought myself together as I shivered while looking at the green bottle in the shelf with the supposedly white paper around it that now had turned beige and shrinky. I walked over to the bartender. A quite muscular, but short man. I looked up at the bottle. "How much for that one?" I asked. He took down the bottle and stroke it carefully. "Oh, this beauty? One houndred cartridges" he said with a devastating voice. I sighed, but in a determined way. I was getting this bottle no matter the cost. "I only have seventy left" I said and emptied my pockets. "Sorry, can't help you. You'll ned those for food, and survival anyway" he said, almost laughing at me. "If there is anything I may hand you in trade for the bottle.. I'd like to know" I said with a begging face expression. He looked at me for a while, studying me, until his eyes stopped at something beside my head. "What about that shining ring there?" he asked with his extremely rusty voice. The silver ring, that Kimii had given me in Japan at the sanctuary. No way. I could never, and would never hand that away. It was my only precious belonging beside from the katana it was hanging from. "A personal belonging, containing memories that I will never want to forget. I cannot hand it to you, I am afraid" I said with a disappointed tone. He stared deeply into my orange eyes for a long while as if he was reading my past. The eyes are the windows to the soul, they say. At that time, I believed in it; He placed the bottle powerfully on the counter and said "Ah, let it go" and opened his palm, signaling me to hand him my bullets. I slowly put the bullets in his open hand, and closed his fingers around them with my own hand as if I was handing him something important.

"I greatly appreciate your concerns and humblenesses" I said passionately, and carefully grabbed the bottle, stroking the dust off from the label as I walked off and sat down on a chair in the corner of the room. I slowly pulled off the cork and let the odor flow up into my nose. The smell of memories. In a shaking hand movement, I placed the bottle-neck against my lips and slowly turned the bottle, allowing the Scotch whiskey stream into my mouth. I could still, after twenty years, remember the salty, oily liquorice-taste. While drinking, I got that feeling again. The lights turned brightly orange, lighting up the whole room. I could clearly feel my blood through my veins as I swallowed, and lowered the bottle, it was like I could see Sung and especially Kimii sitting on the two empty chairs around the table. They were both looking at me with strong determined face expressions before they slowly turned into black smoke, the lights turned normally again, and the feeling was gone. I unhooked the ring from the thread on the sword-handle. I held it in front of me. Carefully stroked the dust off it from the trip with my thumb. I read the text on the inside, though I was not able to understand what it said, but I knew what it said. I remembered it very well. "From Kimii to Benjamin, Always Faithful" it said with curved Japanese letters. I hooked it back onto the sword-handle, put the bottle quickly into my backpack after closing it and started walking again. I felt anger, but at the same time, deep sorrow. Though her body was vaporised and her soul was ascended, the memory of her being and love still lived on inside my heart. And that was the only thing that kept me from ending my own life. I wiped a tear off from my cheek before I stopped beside the group with my hands in the pockets of the brown leather coat. "Are we ready to leave, or who are left?" I asked with a lump in my throat.

"im ready and i think the others are too," i said. "So listen up, once we get onto the surface well have to travel on foot for about half a mile. There might be Nazi Patrols there so id say we have to climb on top of a building to get a clear view of the hotel. The hotel is about 5 stories high but i know a building close to it thats about 10 stories high. I bet there meeting on the roof. Didnt someone buy a mosin nagant here? anyway we can use that gun as a sniper. We just need a scope for it. Me and whoever else wants to will silently get into the hotel and onto the roof. The sniper will kill most of the threats on the top floor but ill finish of anybody else and ill try to capture him alive. Well take him to university. And if everything goes well then well might get to the university stations by the end of today."

Everyone was preparing (reloading weapons, checking air filters & ammunition supplies, finishing off any drinks or food they had ordered earlier), yet I just sat there - staring at my own feet. I was experiencing striking pain, it was like getting stabbed with with long, thin blades... the injuries from the encounter with the demon had probably not even began healing then. But it was not that which made me feel so lifeless. Memories of warfare were coming back. Old memories of foolish overestimation and fallen comrades, friends, family... loved ones. Why did these horrible nightmares had to return just before we were about to travel onto the surface? Why then?! It was one of those moments were I needed to be fully concentrated on the task ahead, but was far from it because I was concerned with tragedies that had happened years before.

All of my comrades were ready for combat, well-prepared and in good spirit. All but Benjamin. After he came up to us and asked us if we were ready, everyone started making final preparations and check-ups; so he sat down at our table to wait the last few minutes. He looked quite depressed, so I leaned over to him and spoke in a low voice, "Memories coming back to you? Fallen friends?" He nodded in response. It seemed that both of us were men with troubled pasts - history coming back to haunt us. I decided it would be best if I let him sit through it in silence, and I did the same. It was time to get those sorrowful thoughts outta my head and get ready for some cold-blooded killing in harsh environmental conditions.

"I am prepared" I said determinedly. "About the officer. If we do get a hold of him, we would most preferrably have him unwounded, or else we'd have to carry him the way. But if there's no other alternative, for example that he refuses to follow, or fights back, then you probably already noticed that I possess a weapon that may paralyze his body for the time we need so. Just to let you know" I suggested as I joined Boris' ascension.

"good idea," i said. "well have to walk to the river west of Dobrinskaya after we capture him. The university crew left me a small flat raft next to this building. We can use it to float down to the entrance of Vorobyovy Gory. However the station is flooded. and completely destroyed. theres a passage from it that heads into the tunnels that go to the university stations. However it flooded too. We'll have to swim. We cant go further then Vorobyovy Gory on the surface though. The surface entrances to the University stations are highly contaminated with radiation. The only way to get there is with special suits that only we have," i smiled. I got up and led everybody to the exit, and showed a hansa guard my pass. He let us through. I put on my gas mask and took out my AK. And began to climb the stairs."I]
