The officer is kinda unconcios.... but okay :p
"He is not even in conciousness. It is easily possible to drag an unconcios body through a distance of water, it will only make the journey a while longer. But another way around would seem like a good idea" I said while looking at the waterline. The black liquid floating there, waiting for me to drop into it like a missile hitting the ground; it will only end with explosion.

"this is the only way to get in. The entrances to the 3 university station are contaminated with atleast 4000 rads per minute. unless you have a special suit theres no other way.

Oops, forgot that he was unconcious! :p

"Okay, I guess this is the only way, then". Going through my pack, I grabbed a new bandage for my leg, wrapped it and tied it tightly. I then wrapped my kalash ammo in two ancient plastic bags. I didn't like risking it any more than I had to.

I put all my weapons in a water proof bag and sealed it inside my other bag. I got out a piece of see through material and covered my whole bag in it. I also took off my vest and heavy coat and other heavy stuff and put it inside it. I would swim pushing the bag infront of me. The bag contained all my stuff. "Whos gonna carry the officer?" i said looking at everybody. Nobody wanted to do it but somebody had to atleast try. I took out my flashlight, whic was waterproof, and turned it on. I would use it to spot air spots.

"I can drag the officer for the first part, maybe 200 metres or until the second or thied air hole. But my leg will also hamper me, so after that, someone else will have to take over". I put my pretty light bag on my back, tightened the straps, and took hold of the officer. "ready when you are", I said.

"Ok you guys ready? Lets move out. Remember stay calm. theres no place to surface until a air hole so if you panice then you dead." i said with a serious tone in my voice to the others. I took my flasklight and dived in. It was freezing. "Youll have to follow me. If you have a waterproof flashlight take it out. Its gonna be pitch black there." And i took a deep breath of air and dove under. I pushed my bag infront of me and turned around to make sure everybody was there. We swam for about 15 meters until i felt my air running low. A huge cramp hit my stomach as i was gasping for air. I stopped, relaxed and continued. Just 10 more meters to the first air pocket. It seemed like it was forever. But then we reached it. This one was really big actually. The size of a small car. I floated up and breathed the fresh air into my lungs. And waited for the others to arise. It was pitch black.

by the way have you guys seen this great movie?

I put all my stuff in my backpack. Then, it was time to take off my coat. I slipped it off slowly, revealing the dark grey camouflaged uniform. I did not think much of it at the moment, though it contained old memories that still tore on the inside of me. I tied my dreadlocks in a string at the back of my head before I attached the sword-holster on my back again, stuffed the coat and the belt in the backpack, and put the backpack over the sword-holster. When I straightened up, ready to go, I noticed that everyone were looking at me. "Waterproof backpack" I explained shortly before they turned back to their packing. We jumped into the water and swam to the first air-pocket. It felt like my lungs were collapsing; I barely made it.

I dragged the officer behind me, surprised by his weight, but also happy that his relaxed body floated once it was in the water. I gasped as I reached the air, and held up the Nazi's head, hoping that he wouldn't drown in his unconscious state. But he seemed to be breathing. I had held his nose so that he wouldn't breathe the water in and wake up. He was still out cold. "Well, this is going okay", I whispered in the echoing darkness.

The water felt frigid. As I followed my comrades through the water to each air spot, I tried to think warm thoughts.

While putting my stuff into this waterproof bag, i had it for quite some time but never used it, i heard something, im not sure what it is but i think it was a voice of sorts but i ignored it, need to stay focused here one wrong move and im good as dead. Looking to the others the tension was rising so i did what i like to do "Hey i sure wish i had a scuba-gear with me i might as well make a house here nobody would dare go in haha", this is going to be a long trip, "I'll take the officer of you when you cant hold him anymore, and Boris are there any fish or something in this water? because i have a bad feeling about this.
I didnt get an answer though, but we went on, i turned on my waterproof flashlight, i took a deep breath and went inside the flooded area.

I packed all of my things appropriately and followed suit. I never was a perfect swimmer, but I had plenty of opportunities to learn how to hold my breath for long (during the beginning of my military training before the blast and my father's teachings underground). Even though it was really cold, dark & strange down there in the water - there was something in there that took my mind off all the bad things. It was a very weird feeling that I couldn't explain.

If you haven't read the book Metro 2034, then don't read the following spoiler in blue.

Boris, what is University like? Because it doesn't show you in Metro 2034, it just tells you Leonid's and Homer's legends about it and that entrance with the white mark and small bell, but no one knows if that even leads to university. :p

"As far as i know there arent any fish or mutants here. But who knows?" i said looking at him. I dove again and began to swim to the next air spot which was actually really damn small. I arose and my head didnt fit through entirley and i was forced to move my head back to fit my mouth in there. It was only about 15 meters from the previos air hole. I dove again and swam through a pile of debri for about 25 meters until my lungs began to squueze tight. My mind panicked but i tried to relax and let the pain go through me. I turned around to make sure everybody was there and shone my light there to make sure. i arose again through the third air spot and relaxed. In this case it was larger then the 2nd one. So far we went through 3 air spots and if i remembered correctly there wer 5 or so to go.

Swimming through the cold darkness, I felt quite uncomfortable, but the further we got, the bigger my feeling that we were going to make it, grew. And the longer we were there, the more used to it, I got. It reminded me of the first day I arrived here. From the surface, down to the dark tunnels of the metro. At first, it was unpleasant, but we got more and more used to it. Now, I almost felt the same way about the water. It was like I did not want to go back to breathe on the surface again. I was surprisingly relaxed.

We reached an airhole. My arms were getting a little sore from draggin the officer, and my leg wasn't helping matters. I hope that our wounds wouldn't attract those creatures down below, like the sharks I remember reading about when I was young. Breathing harshly, I handed the officer to Vlad. "Hey Boris", I said in the darkness, "How much longer?"

"Not too long, we're gonna reach 3 more air holes then there is gonna be a huge dry chamber that we are gonna climb through into the tunnels. The only problem is that the next air hole is pretty far away and requires a huge breath. Its only enough room for 2 people in the air hole so ill guide you guys one by one. I can hold the officer last if you want."

"This swimming is taking ages, as soon as i get out of this im going to take my weekend on the beach, i hear they have nice drinks haha" Were still going to air pockets to air pockets, but i think whats his name ummm, Steven, is getting tired of carrying the officer, his wounds are making it even harder so i took over, good thing this guy doesnt eat alot or i would of taken off his clothes so that he will be lighter. Lets just hope the blood wont draw any unwanted attention.

Once again, I laughed. Laughter was a quite rare, but precious happening in my life. It felt toxicating and arousing. "I may hold him while thou swim first with Boris" I said afterwards.
